Turbo Tax is awesome!!

I think the product is very intuitive and very easy to use. I wish there were more of the FAQs answered. The only frustration I had was when I had a simple(and what I thought to be common) questions, I searched the FAQ section and several of the questions were unanswered. (e.g Home Equity Line of Credit, 401 K info) Other than that I give this product a very high rating and will definitely use it again next year
What's great about it: Easof use, asks all the necessary questions and guides you through the process completely
What's not so great: Some FAQs had no answers

finally done!

I could not get the pymt to process upon finishing my return, the support team was super! Im not very computer savy but I still found the program very easy to navigate, been using turbo tax for years, plan to keep on using TT while Im still breathing, by the time I pass on to another life, Im sure our congress will find a way to tax us after we are gone!
What's great about it: TT support team is the best!
What's not so great: waiting time on phone
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2012 Turbotax

I've used Turbo for years, and it always brought my info (Sched C depreciations, etc) forward. Well this year it didn't. Very disappointing!
What's great about it: it does the calculating
What's not so great: problem bringing last years data/return forward

Multi-State Complications

I am a Minnesota resident attending university and earning an income in Michigan. Through my own research, I learned that the two states have a reciprocity agreement, whereby a resident of one state earning income in the other does not have to pay taxes to the other state. Turbo Tax did not take this into account while I was completing the state tax returns, so I had to manually adjudt the forms. If I had not learned about the reciprocity rule through independent research, I likely would have filed incorrect tax returns because Turbo Tax's calculations did not take the reciprocity agreement into account. The independent research and necessity of manually adjusting the forms also significantly increased the amount of time to complete the tax returns.

Best Refund Ever!

Seem to have updates every time I launched TurboTax 2012, but I guess that's good that they identify changes and update continuously. Highly recommend TurboTax for tax preparation.
What's great about it: Fast and efficient.
What's not so great: ETF reporting was unclear, had to go out to web to find correct way to report for the investment expenses.
