Instructions assume the operator is a mind reader. When the e-file won't work, need more directions rather than just check for update. Restart computer brings up the update and then it all works fine. Found it purely by accident.

charitable donations structure

The entry process for charitable contributions is incredibly ponderous and insensitive to how people store info. People keep their contribution records in their checking accounts or through receipts. But your entry system is based on donation recipient not on taxpayer contributions.
Incredibly poor design. Should be a single screen with a list of all past recipients, buttons to push, then entry boxes. Dates should be optional. People know what dates from receipts or entries. Don't need a tt record.

Great product

Once again Turbo Tax delivered an easy to use product which takes the drudge out of preparing taxes. This year I also used the download of tax information feature they offer and it was painless.
What's great about it: Easy breezy

I have tried other tax preparation software, however, I have been using Turbo Tax consistently for the last 6 years or more. I love the ease of use and the detailed questions and explanations for each category. Not to mention the final reviews and the audit meter. I am sticking with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Great attention to details. You just can't go wrong.

I shouldn't have to enter the small stuff if the same from last year. If the program can remember the important items, it could easily transfer the small items if I have said all is the same. Still, very easy to use!
What's great about it: Ease of line by line
What's not so great: Doesn't transfer some little items it should

No longer in business but TT persists in making me file a Sched C with all 0's
Also, keeps trying to get me to fill out florida return - when there is no state income tax.
