Amazingly quick and painless

Took me longer to gather all necessary information, finished both our federal tax and state tax, including our daughters returns as well in less than 90 minutes.

What's great about it: Simple, step by step, not overwhelming
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: always has been quick, like when it transfers info from last year
What's not so great: attempted the on line version last year, it was terrible will never do that again

TurboTax Deluxe

I found 2012 TurboTax Deluxe to be intuitive, efficient, and that it smoothly transferred data frommy 2011 return. It also smoothly downloaded data from my financial institution. However, I am subject to AMT and, although Turbotax clearly has access to my 2011 return, I continue to be disappointed that I have to manually redo some Turbotax 2011 calculations (e.g., whether my previous year's state tax return is taxable in the current year).
What's great about it: Intuitive; Efficient; Smooth Transfer of Previous Year's Data.
What's not so great: Too many calcutions require manual work.

Bring Back Backup!!!

To save paper and ink, I like to just make the backup of my taxes and TurboTax software that was always included in past versions of TurboTax.
Please bring this feature back or I may have to look elsewhere for my Tax software next year!!!

What's great about it: it went fairly smoothly again this year.
What's not so great: No way to make a complete backup CD that included a copy of TurboTax!

Way over priced!

The price just keep going up with no value add. I have just been too lazy to change but will be looking to do after this year. It is not that difficult for what I use it for.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to. Able to import my W-2's. Import from last year. Basic stuff that I would expect.
What's not so great: Way over priced. Not a good value.

2nd year after divorce and it was a snap!

This is only my second year doing my taxes after a divorce and they make it easy. All along the way, it is clear which section you are completing and there are descriptions of each credit and deduction so you can determine if you qualify for them. If you don't it usually tells you why. The state forms are a bit trickier and I had to Google state forms once. That is one thing with TT, you don't see the actual forms if you go through the guide but you can always go to the "forms" format and complete your taxes that way too and TT will still help. It helped me do this on my own and I am grateful!
What's great about it: The guides along the way, print and save options, e filing
What's not so great: explanations if you don't qualify for something, some terms (few) are not explained well as to what they are

Reduced my anxiety

I tried another tax help CD last year because it was cheaper, hated it and went back to Turbo tax the very next day. Your step by step guide makes this process much easier. The only thing I did not like was that while you gave me an option to e-file the federal or mail it, I did not see that same option for the state and was disappointed. The only choices were e-file now or later. Please make that an option even when I choose to e-file the federal rtns. Thank you.

What's not so great: Did not display an option for mailing my state rtns, only e-mail or do later.
