Done in less than a day!

I was able to complete my tax returns in less than one day. TurboTax is easy to use and easy to understand. In addition, TurboTax is accurate and through.
What's great about it: Easy to use, easy to understand
What's not so great: Why can't TurboTax find the charity addresses for national organizations?

Worry free!

I started using TurboTax 3 years ago when I realized I was paying my tax preparer $200 to use the same thing. He was just asking me the questions that I see on the screen! Lightbulb...I can do this myself!!

Gets the job done

The software works great. I have been using it for years. No major issues. A few comments for improvement.
1. There should be help boxes on every page and they should have as much info as possible. Some are a little vague or needed better examples.
2. Got stuck in a few loops.
One when I finished my federal and was going to start the state. It said it needed to download the state and check for updates. Though the software had already downloaded this and said there was no updates. It kept into this loop and wouldn't let me do the state return until I restarted the program.

Another loop was a form I didn't need. When it did the error check it would pull up the real tax form where the error was and ask me to fill it out. I tried doing no and also removing all info and restarting the software. It kept looping. I finally went back into the step by step part and found it had added an item called "untitled" and it gave me the edit or delete option there. Once I deleted it there, I was able to get past the error check, then the return went through fine. It should allow this delete option at the end when it does the error check or auto delete if I removed all the info from the tax form. It was also confusing to go back and find it since it looks different between the real form in the error check and the step by step option.
3. At the end of the software when I am ready to file it should say efile federal and print and file state as an option. Not efile federal, efile state later. You are just adding steps. I don't want' to pay $20 extra to efile state. My stamps don't cost that much. Make it easier to automatically print the state after it efiles my federal.
What's great about it: Gets the job done, Covers everything I need
What's not so great: The help boxes could use more info. Got stuck in a few loops.

We have used Turbo Tax for the last 8 years and love it! Turbo Tax is user friendly, and covers everything we have needed for completing our tax returns!
