Good but some glitches

My return used prior year data which was good except when some consulting income last year was used in this tax year. Old data was tedious to delete.
Daughters return had almost double income but could not find out why when going back to review numerous times. Finally started a new return and it worked fine.
What's great about it: Simple, quick
What's not so great: Could not delete certain prior year data that was not required for this years taxes.

turbo tax 2012 use

Tubo Tax has always been a simple way to get the taxes done - it straight foward, easy to follow - recommended to anyone - if unsure, try it and compare to what you have without it
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: a little trouble getting to the state form

I paid for the Delux version which is supposed to include the state tax return feature. Every time I tried to go to the state tax return a pop-up box appeared to say it had to be downloaded. II agreed to the download. When it was completed, I attempted to use the download but the same pop-up box appeared saying it had to be downloaded. After going through this process about six times, I gave up on the state tax return and filed the Federal. So, I paid for the state tax return feature but TurboTax failed to deliver.
What's great about it: Federal return process was fine
What's not so great: State return process would not work.

Taxes ain't no sweat

Been using Turbo Tax for approx. 10 years. It is totally geezer friendly (I'm 71 years old). Never had a problem and I don't expect to have any problems. This has to be the easiest way to file both Federal and State tax returns. The only thing that I would ask for is a local tax app so I could wrap up all three at once. Hope you are working on that as we speak. Keep up the good work. I look forward to using your product again and again in the years to come.
What's great about it: So easy entirely user friendly
What's not so great: Having to go to an online web site for additional info.

2012 Returns

Cumbersome having to scroll to bottom of page each time a new income/deduction is entered. It would be less frustrating if the user was positioned at the end of what was just completed and did not have to scroll to the bottom of the page each time to get to the next step of entries.
What's great about it: Easy to use and file federal & state returns
What's not so great: Cumbersome at times

I've used TT for years. It gets easier and easier each year. Great product! It takes the fear out of preparing your own taxes! Easy to use. Highly recommend!
What's great about it: Prior year data import; ease of inputting data

Great Product

I am not a tax expert, so I really appreciate the detailed questions and the reviews. I especially like the step by step through each section of the return and the ability to make changes to the return. I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and plan to continue to use it well into the future.
What's great about it: User friendly and really asks detailed questions so I don't forget anything.
What's not so great: I haven't encountered any negatives with this program.
