Could not navigate to specific forms without going thru the full return.
Errors should have been detected while on the schedules or forms, it was hard to understand why their were issues with info after the fact

What's great about it: downloading of 1099 was quick
What's not so great: needs better navigation ability to get to each form or schedule

Good Tax Prep, problem with State

I completed my complicated Federal forms in record time.
When I attempted to do state, however, the program kept re-downloading the state for and wouldn't let me start. I had to exit the program and restart to do state.
This same problem occurred last year. Quicken needs to get their programmers in gear and get this fixed.
If it weren't for the state download issue I would have given this 5 stars. As-is, the infinite loop is scary enough that I almost gave it 1 star.
What's great about it: Great job on tax preparation
What's not so great: State Tax Form wouldn't start without exiting/restarting program.

Quick and Painless

Simplifies the process. Just follow the the instructions on the screen, answer tthe questions and your taxes are completed fast.All those complicated scheduls and forms are quickly calculated for you. I've trusted TurboTax for many years, and they always came through for me.
What's great about it: Fast, easy,and not compicated.

Frustrated

The program would not print and file my tax return because there was an indication of an error made in the preparation of the return. I double checked and found no basis for the error indication. I input the figures exactly as shown on the 1099s and still the program indicated that there was an error. Therefore, I am unable to complete by return since I could not print or e-file my returns. At this point, I do not plan to use TurboTax again.
What's great about it: Very detailed instructions
What's not so great: Very difficult to follow your instructions

When filing the Fed return program asked for employers state and zip. I had no employer as I am retired.
When filing the state return, program asked for other residence state. I did not require out of state forms.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Asks really dumb questions before filing return.

The only downside was that I was required to purchase an additional state return The upside was that resolution and refund by chat was easy and painless.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Software made me purchase a state return that wasn't required
