Easy and Fast

Great Program. Fast and Easy. Although some things could be worded a little better so I didn't have to go looking in to the explanations of things so often.
What's great about it: Refund Amount

Turbotax was very thorough, but the follow through to the state return didn't follow through smoothly. I had to go out of the software and back in
What's great about it: VERY QUICK AND ACCURATE

Smooth As Silk!

My boss suggested we use Turbo Tax last year, and instead of taking his advice, we had our taxes prepared by a woman who had been doing them for years for us. Unfortunately, she does everything by hand and made a huge error in her figures, so we received a refund apx. $800 LESS than what we were expecting. BIG disappointment! Turbo Tax provided clear explanations of what deductions were allowed and I feel confident that everything was processed correctly. Plus, it cost us $60 less than what we paid the preparer last year and it's much quicker. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I am truly thankful for Turbo Tax. After being audited because of a greedy accountant, I took ownership of my taxes. It's been ten years.
What's great about it: It makes filing easy and inexpensive.

Good way to do taxes!

5th year using TurboTax to prepare both Fed and State forms. Process is quick & painless (expecially after the 1st year as much background info carries forward)! Although there would be a charge for e-filing one's State return, you have the option of not doing so - good when no taxes are due!
What's great about it: Intuitive, easy,& quick way to complete forms; great worksheet documentation.
What's not so great: State form was not up-to-date when I started data entry; fee for e-filing state forms

Tax Exempt Bonds Fed/State

Based on state percentage of total federal exempt interesrt assets; or, actual dollar amount - as each bond contains a different percentage of interest and is mathmatically not feasable. Some guidence in this area would be helpful. It is imossible to find a good answer on the internet. Investment firms do not offere tax advice or tax computing advice. Some help would be wonderful in this area without treading on legal issues for Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: Lack of assistance on how to prorate my state of residence interest exemption portion on my return
