an example, when entering myself rather than download, , i had to check that box twice for each manual entry entry.
What's great about it: complete and detailed
What's not so great: more cumbersome than 2011 version

It asked for W-2 form info and we had no w-2 forms.
What's great about it: simple, easy to follow 95% of the time
What's not so great: No easy back and forth between forms and easy step.

would like to see itemized worksheets as they are done, so I can tell if something like loan origination fees went into the mortgage interest calculation.
What's great about it: step by step is great
What's not so great: difficult to look up by 1040 line item # and hard to know if edited

Great except in a couple places

I got an error message for a 403(b) retirement contribution of $ 25,500. 403(b) sometimes have an additional $ 3,000 than can be added to the standard $ 22,500 for those over age 50. Turbo tax ignored that difference in 403(b) plans.
The information on minister's housing allowance limits is vague. Only if one has a fairly good understanding of the rules on minister's housing does it make sense. For most ministers, the information is vague and incomplete.
What's great about it: Easy guide in most areas
What's not so great: 1 item is incorrect and 1 is vague

It was a little confusing answering some of the questions because we are military. Since we've been through a deployment and our home state are our technical resident states it was harder to completely understand questions. For example, when it asks if the child has lived with the tax payer for X amount of months in the U.S. Techinically they haven't because the soldier has been deployed so you don't want to lie but you can't really answer the question technically.
What's great about it: I loved how detailed it was.
What's not so great: Some questions were difficult because we're military.

I didn't cry!

I didn't think I could file my own taxes-but I did it-it's done. They made it very easy. There was an unexpected fee at the end and a frustrating glitch with the state form, but other than that, it went SO MUCH better than I thought since I expected tears and there weren't any at all! If you are afraid of being able to do this-don't be. If I can do it-ANYONE can.
What's great about it: There was only one time I didn't understand what to do-but I looked at the community answer section to figure it out
What's not so great: No one told me about the $30.00 processing fee they snuck in at end; glitch with state form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Again and Again and Again - Perfect

I've used TurboTax for years and years and YEARS, ever since TurboTax was introduced to the consuming public. It is wonderful software and is always dependable and easy to use. Last year, I contacted the help personnel about a code that was wrong on a W-2. The answer was provided quickly and it prevented my return from being rejected. It is great and the people who make it work are near if not genius level programmers! Keep it up!
What's great about it: I like everything about TurboTax
What's not so great: Nothing is bad about this software
