2012 Turbo Tax

This is the 4th year of filing my taxes with Turbo Tax and it gets easier every year. The actual task of filing is simple and stress free.
What's great about it: Ease of use

My husband and I are in NO WAY tax experts, but TurboTax made us feel like we knew what we were doing. We tried the online version and just couldn't understand why we couldn't see where the info was going... then my dad told us to buy the software, easy as pie :) We will probably use TurboTax software from here on out!
What's great about it: Easy guide helpful, reviews for errors
What's not so great: Have to pay for state e-files, but still a great value!

Really, really good but total cost to file is up

After using TurboTax for many years,I continue to be impressed by the quality, completeness and accuracy in this product. E-file process is simple but changing the cost structure to put most of the burden on buying a state return and then paying more to file it has increased the total cost to file by a significant amount.
What's great about it: Easy and quick with guidance through the process
What's not so great: Change in cost to buy and file state return is excessive

Great first time user experience. I am 71 years old, and not as computer smart as the younger generation. But I think I was able to do ok.

Too Expensive.

As usual, paid more than would pay for other tax software. Only continue with TurboTax because of bringing forward data from last year, and ease of use of saving returns.

On my K-1, in Section L, Partner's capital account analysis, there are three items: Beginning..., Current year..., and Ending... There was only one spot on the K-1 form in TurboTax, so I had to choose which item to placew there.

THE SECTION ON EDUCATION EXPENSES WAS EXTREMELY CONFUSING. CONFLICTING INFORMATION. I DIDN'T FIND OUT TILL AFTER I FILED MY DAUGHTER'S RETURN THAT I DID IT WRONG. YOU NEED TO REVIEW THE EASE OF THAT SECTION.

What's not so great: STILL NEEDS TO BE EASIER TO GET BACK TO A SECTION
