Buggy

Quite a few times the content of my selections does not match with the selections. It is like a link is messed up and point to a wrong page.

Almost good enough

I have been using Turbo Tax for 6 years. Generally, it is an easy software for tax return. When it covers, it is almost perfect. However, it still misses some usually forms, for example, the NYS IT-241 and those listed in "Other Tax Credits" session. This made me ineligible to e-file the state tax return for several years. I wish TurboTax can improve it in the next year's version.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Miss some NY forms (unable to e-file)

Needs more flexibility in printing and saving

This is my first time doing my own taxes in years, and I'm not sure I will return to an accountant.
Once I figured out the TurboTax setup, and how and where to enter information, the whole thing was relatively easy.
My only complaint is that there is no way to print page-by-page the final return. In my case, printer troubles caused me to have to print out the entire return several times just to get a "clean" copy of the 3-4 pages which had become smudged.
What's great about it: It was logically organized
What's not so great: Difficult to delete information on some windows

I am always a little apprehensive doing my taxes, especially when I cannot write it down on the form with a pencil myself. I am trying to let Turbo Tax be my friendly guide. Maybe next year I will be even more relaxed in my approach to doing taxes, especially if I actually get a refund next year!
What's great about it: The back key is always helpful!

Easy, accurate, economical tax-prep software

Turbo Tax has been my choice for the past 7 years. It has saved me lots of money and hassle versus the use of a local tax preparer. The ability to download 1099 info from brokerages and W-2 info from employers save time and avoids errors. Ease of e-filing and electronic record-keeping is also a real time-saver.
What's great about it: Overall ease of use; thorough "interview" process; year-to-year continuity
What's not so great: Occasional problem saving to files to network drive; limited off-line help functionality

My 15th year...best yet!

Great program...been using since '97 doing as many as 4 returns per year for family, including nursing home expenses, long term care, opening and closing a small home-based business, and even timber sales! Turbotax covers it all!
What's great about it: ability to debit my state tax later
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I love Turbo Tax. I have used it for 10 years. My hair would be white and I would go crazy every year if I had to do this by hand!
