won't let me efile!

OK, I get that I shouldn't wait until the last minute, but my return is due on October 15 and I assumed that turbo tax would let me efile on that date, but I was wrong. Now I have to print and file a hard copy of my return. I am not happy with this situation
What's great about it: leads you through the return nicely
What's not so great: seriously, won't let me efile on october 15!!

This tax year I had to file for an extension. TurboTax did it all.
However, six months later in October when the extension was due, I filed my return and found 1040 ES printed in the copies. The first payment due date was 15 April, the same date to file returns and extensions. 1040 ES should be printed with extensions as well as returns. I have missed three of the four payment dates. Also, the four payment vouchers should print out on one separate sheet of paper, not on the bottom of four pages back to back, or on the back of copies of tax forms.

I'm a CPA and have used Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember. I can't think of another tax software program I would rather use.
What's great about it: Easy, intuitive, powerful, fairly priced, year-to-year ease of use and simplicity of carryovers

Great Program

Turbo Tax is the best thing on the market for individual filers. The only situation I ran into was in trying to e-file the Fed and State together on the last day of filing (my bad). Had to file Fed first and then wait on the phone for an agent/rep to be able to pay and file state. This program rates way above Tax Cut and all the others.
What's great about it: Easy to use and let's you know when you have done something wrong
What's not so great: Trouble trying to e-file the state

Upon electronically filing one's state returns you do not get automatic feedback that the local or school district returns have been successfully transmitted as well. You assume that either you have to mail the local or school district returns because they are submitted to a different address or you assume that they are submitted as part of the state return. There just isn't any verification that these local returns are submitted. By adding a one liner confirmation to the end of the filing status that 'any school district or local returns have been efiled as well' would be valuable to first-time users.
What's great about it: Great menu driven, easy-to-use program!
What's not so great: Incomplete info on filing status of local returns

So Easy to Do Taxes with TurboTax

From the moment you install it, it points and shoots for you. You know exactly where to get the information from on your forms and what numbers to put where. It asks you questions regarding deductions that may not have been thought of or they may be new ones for that particular tax year.
Just makes the whole filing tax process a pleasure rather than a chore!
What's great about it: It's just excellent... no brainer, makes a tedious annual task so much easier
What's not so great: Can't think of one
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great product and I like the simple process that walks me through each decision. Great product that anyone can use very quickly. I've been using for over 10 years and TurboTax saves me $400+ per year over using an accountant to complete my returns.
