Have been using Turbo Tax for many years. Each year sees improvements. However, this year a major flaw was the inability to e-file on October 15. Since this is the legal final day to file with an extension, I had to file by mail which I did. Glad the printer worked.
What's great about it: No glitches, clear questions, easy flow between program and forms
What's not so great: Major flaw this year - no e-file on October 15
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great - Almost!

Had a great experience except today, 10/15/13, the extended due date of my return when I tried to e-file. I got a message that e-filing was closed for the season to prepare for next year. That makes perfect sense for the day after the extended due date but not ON the extended due date. Please fix for 2013!
What's great about it: Everything was great except e-filing
What's not so great: Couldn't e-file on extended due date 10/15

This was my first time using Turbo Tax but it certainly won't be my last.
What's great about it: I will never pay an accountant to file my taxes again. It was soooo easy with Turbo Tax!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Efile closed on the deadline for filing

Really bad idea to close efile the day extensions are due! I tried to efile my extension on October 15, 2013, and got the message, Efile is closed for the season, on the last day to file. Not Good!

Sensational as always

We've been using Turbotax since 2004 and have always had the very best experience possible. It just gets easier to use every year. We've been involved in computing since 1984, and used a great many applications. This application is so intuitive there's little one has to do to complete and file a return. This is the best of many, many applications, and those who use it will find filing taxes far less painful. Turbotax does it all form start to finish.
What's great about it: Every aspect of this year's return was superb.
What's not so great: None.

Very Thorough

My CPA retired and sold his practice last year. For the first time in 40 years I decided to do my own taxes, and used TurboTax. I was very pleased with the process and repeated it this year. I am even more pleased now that I have more practice in getting it right.
What's great about it: I feel confident that no legitimate deductions were missed
What's not so great: You better keep good records, but you should under any circumstances

Could not e-file on Oct 15th- Glitch with TurboTax

I had filed an extension on my taxes and was submitting on Oct 15, 2013. When I went to e-file, the software told me I could not e-file because it had closed for the next upcoming tax season. This did not make sense because Oct 15th is the last day to file for extensions. I called the turbo tax contact number and was helped by Jessica from the Ohio Call Center (Case#406098005). She patiently walked me through to get this resolved and my taxes filed (even though it took over an hour on the phone due to my slow computer and trying to resolve the issue). Had it not been for this e-file glitch I would have given 5 stars. I gave 4 stars because Jessica helped me e-file and made things right. I would give Jessica 5 stars for her customer support and she should be recognized for it. Thank you Jessica!!!
