I would think TurboTax would incorporate the Form 8606 in their review to obtain the necessary information to complete it resulting in a possible reduction of the person's taxable IRA distributions.

Works well, easy to follow. A print state return for filing option should be included when e-filing the fed taxes. California charges and it's better to mail. Also, bring the save to CD option back. That's way better than printing a copy.

Anyone without any tax preparation experience can prepare and file their own taxes. It is quite simple.
What's great about it: Easy to use for non-tax preparers
What's not so great: State efile requires an extra cost

Would not run the free state tax return

Software would not run the included state tax return after I completed the Federal return. Turbotax customer service is only available during business hours.
Called the next day; was on hold for 20 minutes before speaking with customer service. Turns out there was some conflict between turbo tax and my internet explorer browser. Rep. had me download Mozilla Fire Fox and then the state return ran fine. These kind of bugs should be caught before release. Took forever to figure out what the heck was going on and was unsolvable without customer service support.
