Quick and Efficient

This year is the best product yet. I have absolutely no complaints.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow instructions

Overall good program, very hard to modify a topic once information is added, even more difficalt if it is information that is transferred from Quicken. Need to be able to modifiy or add to all line items transfered form Quicken. Attempted to correct information in Quicken and send a updated transfer file and it caused exterime problems had to cancel out and start over.
Each entery needs a link to the form or worksheets it is added to.
If you return to a topic areas you have to go through all the steps from the start and cant go to the point you want to correct or modify.

What's great about it: Recommend you have Turbo Tax to determime the required reporting
What's not so great: very hard to go back and manual edit information imported from Quicken.

The best way to do your taxes!

I used to use a CPA for my Federal Taxes, but when I realized my accountant was simply using a computer program to conduct the interview and subsequent tax preparation, I wondered why I wasn't cutting out the middle man. I've been doing my own with TurboTax for close to 15 years, no regrets and no audits! I do pay for the Audit Defense, just in case.
What's great about it: Now, my accountant is my laptop
What's not so great: Easy to procrastinate

TurboTax vs Spreadsheet

Couldn't do taxes in this day and age without having TurboTax to crosscheck against my spreadsheet tax calculations. Need two independent approaches to give me confidence the tax filings are correct.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to cross correlate TurboTax calculations with my spreadsheet tax calculation.
What's not so great: Not enough latitude on selecting printing options for my files & filing

I accidentally downloaded and paid for the wrong product. The reps at customer service were so friendly and helpful, they got me a refund on the wrong product and guided me to the correct product for my needs. I worked with 2 reps, both of whom were exceptional customer service people. Thank you for providing not only a great, user friendly range of products, but also great customer service people who were easy to contact and knew how to do their job. That is rare in the customer service arena these days, so THANK YOU!!

I get a strange record of information from my trust manager and getting the info into the turbotax format is a challenge. The wonderful team on the call help stuck with me through the challenges.
