I've used TurboTax for more than 15 years. Would not use anything else to prepare and file my taxes

Have used Turbo Tax for 15+ years

I've been using TurboTax since I first became a lawyer in a small town firm and didn't make much. Now I make 7 times as much and have a much more complicated situation with wife, kids, investments, side business, etc. TurboTax has taken care of my tax needs through all of the changes in my financial situation, including the problems encountered (ie. losses incurred) during the downturn in 2008-. Thanks TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Sometimes hard to manipulate to correct "errors"

Even Easier Than Last Year

Was done in about half the time. Thanks for making it so easy.
What's great about it: Took all the data from last year's return and saved me a lot of reentry of personal data, employers, charities, etc.

Finished just in time!

Importing prior tax year information and financial institution 1099's is the main reason I keep using TurboTax since 1999. Never used a CPA yet.
What's great about it: Importing 1099's & Prior Tax Years
What's not so great: Needs better help on IRA withdrawal hardship exceptions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have been using MacInTax and Turbo Tax for 25 years, first when working in the tax department at AY (now E& Y), then for my own businesses. I miss the feature that enabled us to bring up the form for which we were entering information. e.g. entering business expenses and being able to easily check the form while doing so.
What's great about it: Step by step keeps you on track. Calculations are fast.
What's not so great: Cannot transfer info from Mac 2011 into PC 2012. Very annoying.
