Overall Turbo Tax saves me lots of time doing my Taxes.
What's not so great: The Royalty 1099-Misc form for had no option to indicate a corrected form.

As always Turbotax is a most powerful tool and coupled with Quicken provides for a fully documented return with maximum accuracy. One feature I wish Turbotax would add would be an automated way to split a joint return for those of us who want to test for the most advantageous filing scenario. Don't like having to reinput w-2, 1099 and similar information all over again when this would seem easy enough to automate. There are still lots of banks and employers who don't participate in the auto update program..
What's great about it: Fast, flexible and straightforward, Turbotax makes a complicated job easy
What's not so great: Could be a bit sharper for those of us that want to prepare multiple scenarios

Still the Best

Turbo Tax is a great tool. However, it is becoming harder and harder to interpret what information TTax needs v. what actual information I have. I attribute that to the ever changing tax laws. But it would be good if TTax could start with a better listing of what's changed from the prior year. It would help in filling out the new forms.
What's great about it: Great structure for add or editing information. Very comprehensive.
What's not so great: Guide is too difficult to use once you've used TTax before. Just tell me what I need.

Better every year

I have used Turbo Tax for years and it gets better every year. the electronic communications for investments, banking and the IRS easily make it worth the cost. The time saved is why I started to use turbo tax. All the frustration is gone with all the help and explanations.
What's great about it: the electronic communications are great and save a lot of time

2012 Turbo Tax Experience

I have been a Turbo Tax user for 20 years I have never had any troubles except for this year. My state return was not accepted for several weeks. This caused a lot of stress. There was no way to follow up on why is wasn't being accepted that was very distressing. Other wise it has served me well.
What's great about it: Ease of use, convenient
What's not so great: State return filing issues very upsetting

Upsell my selection

Too many suggestions to buy the next level which generally about doubles the TurboTax cost for minimal increase. How about just allowing incremental specific purpose upgrades at minimally incremental cost i.e. <$5 per upgrade.
What's great about it: Running total allows you to see effect of each entry.
