The tax calculaton software was generally very easy to use, but the wholebusiness with the updated tax forms not being available was ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE, and caused me a lot of grief!!!

This was the first year I've done my taxes, and with the ease of use, I will never use a preparer again unless my tax situation changes drastically that I think I would need exceptional guidance. I recommend this program!

I appreciate not haveing to guess which forms I'll need. I've been using Turbo Tax for 10 years, and I recommend it to my friends.
I like it SO much better than the tax accountant I used to use.

The easiest return yet!

The update to Good Will clothing section was great. It made it easy if you know the exact type of clothes you donated. And having the addresses to the most used charities was a helpful feature. I will definitely use Turbo Tax next year and look for more updates to the program.

Smooth and complete

Another tax season completed and a return confidently filed. The IRS isn't making it any easier, but TurboTax seems to find a way to make sense of the mess.
What's great about it: very intuitive and thorough
What's not so great: no option to print only one form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

State Taxes Rejected from TurboTax Software Error

I owed taxes to state last year. Corrected my deductions immediately to assure would not owe this year. Taxes owed were less than amount state might penalize. This year receiving small refund from state. HOWEVER, Turbo tax ran state Underpayment of Estimated Tax by Individuals form. Several errors by Turbo Tax in filling out this form: 1) I do not and never have had estimated taxes, so form is unnecessary 2) I am receiving a refund. 3) Form clearly states that if amount on line 6 is less than $1000 stop here and do not submit form. Line six was negative number -$44 (the amount of my state refund). 4) Turbo Tax submitted the Form 221 with the negative entry causing my tax return to be rejected. 4) The error was not caught by the Turbo Tax error check; even after State rejected my tax return, When double-checked Turbo Tax after receiving rejection notice, Turbo Tax software still claimed income tax submittal was accurate! State provided specific info on error that allowed me to fix the return and manually remove the form from Turbo Tax software so could re-submit tax return. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

What's not so great: Submitted a form that was not needed; return rejected with possible penalty.
