Altho I followed instructions, I could not e-file due to zero balances on line 22, 44, etc. It appears that Turbotax should have arrived at the appropriate entries so that I could e-file.
What's not so great: Final review

Dissapointed

This is the3 second year I have not been able to import my information which was exhausting and defeated the whole purpose of purchasing the program annually for the past few years. To have to manually compute and transfer information was exhausting and a waste of money for the program. then to have rejection because of a SSN that Turo cannot walk me through was frustrating.
What's great about it: Information was reasonably helpful
What's not so great: The program constantly did not recognize my passcode that has always been used; I was not able to import my information

Return Rejected
on April 18, 2013
Posted by: Anonymous
I received an email that my return was rejected. The email stated that TT had informed me and this was a follow-up email; problem is, this was the FIRST email I received notifying me of an issue! When I logged in to TT, I got a similar message - sort of like "why haven't you corrected your return yet when we notified you twice".
Also, the error message wasn't entirely clear about why the return was rejected and exactly what needed correcting (it stated just a general area; e.g. name and address of employer or employee on W-2). And there was no direct "go to" this section (where I needed to make a correction) - that would be helpful for future editions.
On the plus side, I have used TT for over ten years and this is the first blip I've encountered. I've always been very satisfied.
What's great about it: usually pretty straight forward, helpful
What's not so great: not notified (or incorrect message)

The initial screen has to be filled out each time you login. the info you type does not save.
Since below review questions does not include the question option: Prior tax preparation; I am an accountant/tax professional and use to do it myself, however, since I now also do my children taxes as well it is easier to use turbo Tax (preferred over other programs and options)
Life changes Retired needs to be added to option.

Did not file
on April 18, 2013

So I thought my tax return was efiled. And I still hadn't gotten the return after 4 weeks from efiling. So I decided to check, just to make sure, everything was as it should be. In fact, it was not. I did not properly finish and it was not efiled.
I'd like something that yells at you...hey, your tax return isn't finished! Hey, you didn't file it! Wait, come back, fill in this information! And it was a typo that had prevented it from efiling. The wrong state in a charitable organization with the right zip code.
So it's late.
Thanks.

Pretty Good Experience

My major complaint about Turbo Tax is that printing is not intuitive. There should be a print button that is always available. There are times that I wish to print a particular form or a draft of my partially completed return. That is not easy to do. You have improved everything else in Turbo Tax (I have been using it since 1995), but printing still remains a problem. If you can fix this, the product would be perfect.
What's great about it: I have been using Turbo Tax since 1995. It gets better and easier to use each year.
What's not so great: Priniting is still not intuitive.
