I have been using turbo tax for years and trust it totally.
What's great about it: the entire process was simple
What's not so great: none that I have experienced.

I have used Turbo Tax software for several years to prepare my taxes as well as my family members. The software is easy to install and use. The program prompts you to make sure you have covered all topics. I really like the error check component of the program. I trust the software and would recommend it to anyone that is a first time tax filer or a life long filer.
What's great about it: Step by step guide through all topics ex. deductions and income
What's not so great: Price increase over the years

Pretty Painless

Overall the best and easiest TurboTax yet using the guided entry process. Cudos for removing most of the confusion and stuck iterations prompting for the same data over and over that filer doesn't have.
What's great about it: Easy Guides greatly improved over prior years
What's not so great: Child care credit form a bit confusing for entering EIN vs SSN.

Missing features

I am disappointed that TT doesn't have an automatic feature for importing from Quicken. In the past it was convenient to pull out charitable gifts, medical, est. taxes, etc. Now all of this has to be done manually. This is a step backwards from products in previous years. It is pointless for me to upgrade Quicken for less functionality. Also, I found most of the "helps" unhelpful, with little real information. For instance, I searched for help in estimating the value of a parsonage and found nothing, not even in the forums. In fact, some had asked the same question two years ago and had received no responses. My tax return is fairly simple. I wonder if I am really gaining anything from purchasing TT. I could use the free version of various types of tax prep software and get the same result. And no, I am not interested in paying for upgrades to get what I already feel I paid for.
What's great about it: Fills in fields from last year's return.
What's not so great: No longer has the option of inporting information from Quicken.

Easier than I thought

I've always completed my own taxes. But this year, I rented my house for the first time and I wasn't sure about depreciation/amortization. It was soooo easy using this software.
What's great about it: Almost fun, as long as you don't owe taxes.
What's not so great: Don't enter 0.00 when they just want you to leave blank on the W-2

Was scared this year, but TurboTax saved me!

I got a pretty significant raise this year, so I was concerned that my tax refund this year would instead be a tax bill. I no more than got my W2 punched in an saw a positive number. By the time I got through all the deductions I had this year (new baby, new house, plus tuition payments), I'll be able to fund my IRA and then some. I love how TurboTax knows more about my state intricacies than the professional CPAs in town, helping to ensure I get my maximum refund.
What's great about it: Extremely easy to use, walks through all deductions
What's not so great: Updates are too frequent
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
