Made Quick Work of My Tax Return

I have been using Turbo Tax for years to prepare my taxes (through good but complicated things like stock options and ESPP and selling a house and bad like unemployment and disability). It makes it easy to prepare your taxes by going step-by-step through the questions and interpreting the tax code for you. If I have to prepare and pay taxes (which doesn't seem likely to go away), then Turbo Tax is the way to go! I trust myself doing my taxes with Turbo Tax more than I would a tax preparer.
What's great about it: Easy Step-by-Step
What's not so great: Dealing with taxes at all!

Turbo Tax

I got lots more back than I would have otherwise and filing was easy.
What's great about it: Easy to answer questions. Took less time than for me to do them by paper. Cheaper than an accountant
What's not so great: There were some small deductions that I did not get prompted to include and so did not do.They are job specific.

Perfect for organizing and explaining the meaning of most of the deductions on options of entering them. Excellent update furthers,
What's great about it: No trips to the post office, no worry of how must stamps are needed.
What's not so great: No having all the deductions options (IRCs, Fringes, Govement deductions

Most Money Back Possible

I had looked into the other tax programs available for free online and when I completed my tax return I owed money on my federal return and state return, but when I went out and purchased turbotax and completed my returns I have money coming back to me from both federal and state. I have been using turbo tax for 4 years now and it never gets boring to get money back with turbo tax
What's great about it: I received more money than what was expected
What's not so great: Nothing bad

amount on my 5498-SA did not match info on my w-2....did not help me identifiy if I could claim it.

Feel Confident

I am very happy with Turbo Tax, I feel confident that I have not missed reporting or deducting anything and I don't have to share my personal information with someone else.
What's great about it: Walks me through and I believe I haven't missed anything.
What's not so great: Error checking is hard to correct errors

Excellent except form 8615 Kid tax return

Form 8615 for child filing their own return is complicated. Turbo did not ask for all necessary information, and would have resulted in higher tax paid...except for going to forms view and entering info directly on the form
What's great about it: Good job with very complicated calculations
What's not so great: form 8615 did not ask for enough information in step by step
Pros: I bought or sold investments
