Fantastic Program

This software is great. I have used it for 10+ years. It is intuitive, easy and it helps you find everything you need to explore painlessly!

Just want to say...

I just want to say that I have been a TurboTax user since the early 90's and have always had a great experience using it. I have been doing my taxes and those of my children without any major problems. The few problems I have experienced have always been fixed by the TT support folks in a very timely manner. I have had many friends and family members test my TurboTax versus the 'Other' wannabees and it has always come up shining. Just recently my sister-in-law had went the competitor and I convinced her to do her taxes on TT first and see how it compared. She did and $280 later she found that TT came up with the same numbers in less than a quarter of the time and effort! Needless to say she is planning on buying TT next year!
One additional note, this latest version seems to be having a problem saving files. Keeps coming up with message that the data was saved but that an error was encountered. No fix to this as far as I know....

What's great about it: Always easy to use and understand

Satisfied

It was a little annoying that when i quit and sign back in, it doesn't always seem to go straight to where I'd left off for some reason, but otherwise I was satisfied, as I am every year. I don't understand why more people don't save themselves a lot of $$ and use TT instead of an accountant!
What's great about it: step-by-step process comprehensive, clear, efficient, etc. etc. -- as always!
What's not so great: didn't understand some explanations, but i blame that more on the IRS than TurboTax!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Easy - Speedy

Our tax situation is not as complicated as it used to be. We still, however, appreciate the ease of getting our return done fast and efficiently. We have been Turbo Tax customers since 2005. There are other options out there, but we remain loyal to Turbo Tax because of the solid reputation it has gained over the years. THANKS TURBO TAX!!

Turbo Tax is Total Tax

Single-sided pages should be accounted for when printing the first side of the following double-sided pages, so as not to print first side of double-sided page on the back of previous of single-sided page. I hope that I got that clearly explained.
What's great about it: Instructions are very clear
What's not so great: Could not find out how to print last page that confirms that both Emailed Federal and State Tax Returns were accepted.

It's Deductible

First thing, there is a problem with the charity verification. I donated to a charity last year and had no problem entering the data. This year, Turbo Tax questioned the zip code stating it needed to be a zip code in my State. The money donation was to a company out of state. The only way I had to correct was to change the City, State, and Zip was to change it to local data.
The second issue I had was e-filing. I was asked to provide a pin - which I eventually did, but after all that I got a confirmation - then today received notification that IRS rejected my filing. Called IRS to get a pin - however, after all the input they requested - the info was to provide a zero in the AGI field and I didn't need a pin - again tried to e-file - still needed the info - so back and entered the zero and hopefully it will take. We'll know tomorrow :(

Excellent Software

I have used TurboTax software approximately 10 years and have loved it each and every year. The ease and assurance of filing an accurate return are the most prevalent features. I have used other software programs in performing volunteer services for other free tax programs designed to help low to moderate income families, and they do not, in any way, compare to TurboTax. They were obviously acceptable by the agencies, but they are not excellent like TurboTax. I will forever us TurboTax.
What's great about it: The overall Software Package is excellent

How Easy!

Used it for the last seven years, it's great! Prompts are intuitive, easy to understand logical in organization.
