Couldn't have done my taxes without it! $4721 REFUND!!!!
What's great about it: quick and intuitive
What's not so great: initial problem updating forms 8863, 1040 and SCHEDULE A. Rectified with agent.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Taxes made Easy!

I've been a loyal turbotax user for years and it just keeps getting better!
What's great about it: Easy to use and great to look at!
What's not so great: Need to incorporate form 9852 for short sales! Lower the price, man!

turbo tax review

Very intuitive and easy to use. I've been using for ten years and so far haven't had a problem with any return filed via turbo tax.
What's great about it: easy to follow step by step directions
What's not so great: can't think of any except the bother of filing but that is not turbo tax issue.

Turbo Tax Deluxe Is Great - And Leon Rocked

A friend referred me to Turbo Tax and I love the product. It is easy to use and live chat support is readily available. I only had one problem entering a human code and I called in, Leon assisted me and my return is filed. Leon was great and so is Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: I love the product, it is easy to follow.
What's not so great: Had a problem with the human code at the end and Leon walked me through the process, fixed my process & my file is done

More Questions Needed

To report Dividend and Interest income received from non-US sources, I make up my own 1099 Int/Div forms which is not too difficult as there is a box for Foreign taxes. To record a foreign social security pension I add this to the US social security as the US SS pension was reduced by SS for the foreign payment-both IRS and State taxing authorities have been notified of this. Big problem occurred this year with a private (non-government) pension received from overseas source. Tried entering this on a 1099R but kept getting errors as had no Payer ID#, nor US ZIP. Also problems on TD F 90-22.1 & Form 8393 as kept getting errors on the checklist which ended up in a loop of requesting info, entering it, doing another check & being told fields should be blank. The errors, inspite of repeated go arounds, could not be corrected which meant I was unable to file electronically (for which program gives high pressure) and only just made the PO to file by deadline!
The program should either recognise outside US addresses or specficially ask about above situations which are not that uncommon.

What's great about it: Importing of information from prior year & EasyStep which helps in not forgetting items
What's not so great: Difficulties in reporting revenue from outside the US
