So easy

I would like to see the help for fields to be positioned to the right of the screen. This will allow the user to see the help and still be able to enter the data into the fields.
What's great about it: intuitive UI
What's not so great: help should not pop up but should remain visible

Apprehensive No More

Turbo Tax beats going over a waterfall in a barrel by a long shot. That's the way I used to feel when doing taxes. Turbo Tax makes doing your taxes a breeze. Especially if your a procrastinator like me and need that tax deadline pressure to motivate you. Thanks to Turbo Tax I won't be overdosing on aspirin this year.
What's great about it: Seamless movement from one topic to the next
What's not so great: Recycling through topics sections. More preferable to pick up where you left off when completing section.

Good Program

This program is good and meets all of my needs for filing taxes. Some of the definitions, such as "childrens income" is confusing and needs to be simplified. It would also be helpful when you move away from a screen where you are working to check something in another area of Turbotax, that the "back" button on that screen will take you to the previous screen where you were working. I have used this program for years and plan to continue to do so. Thanks.
What's great about it: Easy to use at reasonable cost
What's not so great: Some of the definitions are a little confusing

Mostly good

Two complaints this year: Last year's figures populated incorrectly on my son's return. My husband's and my 2011 Tax Summary was listed as his! Hope this doesn't screw up anything for next year.
I was also confused with the Energy Tax Credit. It said at first that certain air conditioning systems would be eligible for an energy credit. Then, while going through the step-by-step instructions, at no time was I ever asked if we installed an energy-efficient air conditioner. Frustrating.
What's great about it: I always feel confident that my return is done properly.
What's not so great: A few glitches.

Just another good experience.

Not really a lot to report and that's a good thing. I have been a TurboTax user for many years and this was just another smooth, quick trip through the process.
What's great about it: Easy, Fast, Clear instructions.
What's not so great: It did crash once on startup, but came up on the next try.

Nothing Beats Turbo Tax

Love the product and been using it for many years without any issues. Will continue to use and would recommend others to use!
What's great about it: Easy to use, gets the deductions others would miss
What's not so great: nothing great product!

e-file did not go through

I was done a day early, on April 14th. I chose to e-file and to pay the taxes due by mailing a check. I saved the records, printed out the payment voucher, paid for the audit defense by credit card and finished the e-filing. Or, so I thought. I got e-mail confirmation of the audit defense, but not confirmation that my return had been accepted. I knew from experience that acceptance confirmation is not immediate. On April 15th, I mailed the check in the morning. Still no e-mail confirmation of the return. This morning I checked my e-mail again; still no confirmation. Worried, I opened up Turbo Tax and discovered that the e-filing was not completed as I had believed. So, I e-filed, hopefully successfully, at 9:48am on April 16th.
What's great about it: consistency
