Easy to transistion

I moved from the H&R Block product this year and was very please how easy it was to adopt to this new product
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: slow at starting up at times
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Direct Deposit

After dealing with a nightmare with the Va State Debit Card refund method on my daughters return, I wanted to make sure that mine was set for direct deposit. It was not, even though I have always had it that way. It was hard to find where to set it up again and no links to it were available. I had to search in the forms view in each form to find it. It should automatically ask you before filing.
What's great about it: Error Checking
What's not so great: Direct Deposit missed and hard to find

Quick and Easy Tax Filing

This is the best way for the average citizen to file. No need for a CPA (and the expense) if your tax situation is not complex
What's great about it: Step by step instructions; hints for minimizing tax bills; help screens; e-filing; auto calc of State taxes
What's not so great: What's not to like?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Great program, little quirks.

I've been using Turbo Tax for well over 15 years. As always, it's quick and relatively painless. However, there are some quirks. And the quirks are different every year. A couple of years ago, it was business expenses. This year, non-cash charitable contributions. I carefully inputted everything. fine. During the review, it was discovered that TT didn't place that info into the correct forms. It was a pain re-inputting everything but - at least the mistake was found. Other than that, great program.
What's great about it: Simple input, fast (mostly)
What's not so great: Lost some info (charitble contributions, non-cash)

Saved me money

Turbo Tax is very good and easy to use, walk you through the process in a very detailed way to ensure you recieve all the deductions and credits you are intitled to. I highly recommend this product. Only wish they had kept the videos for explaination.
What's great about it: Ease of use and step by step
What's not so great: Did not have the videos that were in the package last year to explain items

Well - that didn't hurt at all!

The program helped me with things I would of normally missed. It chose if I should take the standard deductions or the itemized deductions. I found deductions that helped me get more money back. I gave me examples of what is normal to answer. It let me go ahead if I had to look the answer up and if I forgot to answer the question the program found that I missed it in the review. Good program to use. I have used it for the last 15+ yrs. Every now and then when I want to look something up I find it but once in a great while I have a hard time typing the question out so the program with read it.
What's great about it: Caught things I would of missed
What's not so great: look up feature for military combat pay was hard to find
