3 Long Days

TurboTax helped me successfully through the morass of federal IRS rules this year, as in the past several years. It was very tedious, made so by the ever-increasing exceptions, limits, and categories defined by our lawmakers and their minions. After 3+ days of searching, entering, checking, and looking for advice and opinions on tax rules, I finally finished and filed for my refund. I like the ability to switch from section to section, to skip some rote question-and-answer dialog. And the ability to show the relevant IRS form is still my favorite crutch. All in all, TurboTax is the best, and it has never left me high and dry. It's quick like a bunny on calculations, but steadfast and purposeful like a tortoise in getting to the finish line.
What's great about it: very structured and thorough
What's not so great: still hard to dig out rulings on deductions from TT and IRS docs
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Time Saver

Turbo Tax takes some of the pain out of doing taxes. With all the changes that occur not having to go through a series of booklets to determine what is or is not tax helps. Rather then spending 8 hours with Turbo Tax I am down to 2 hours.
What's great about it: Clear definable easy to follow procedure
What's not so great: Do not understand if I pay for the software for each filing why I also have to pay to file

I have used TurboTax for almost 10 years running

I found it VERY DIFFICULT to get back into a form that I either forgot to fill out, or that was just left out by the program. The navigation to get to the new form was nonexistent.
What's great about it: Ease of Use, speed, and inexpensive
What's not so great: NOT easy to get back into a form after complete

I find the product easy to install and use. Ihave been doing my taxes every year using TurboTax for many years and I would and do recommend it to others.
What's great about it: Screens are very helpfule during the walkthrough process
What's not so great: Little expensive but it is what it is.

Even though I am able to do taxes with jut the tax book for any particular year, Turbo Tax makes it so easy that anyone can do their taxes! Now there are no more excuses for filing late. Now you will get it done, and done correctly, too! No more math errors!
What's great about it: Easy to understand, guides you step by step, and this software makes you feel like a pro!
What's not so great: If you forget to update, you may be in trouble! So automatically update!
