Years of TurboTax

I have used TurboTax since I bought my first computer in 1989. The Windows version is more user friendly than the DOS version, but not without its problems. I lost hours of work yesterday when I accidentally exited from the deductions section and Turbo Tax did not give me a warning to save. We need an automatic save in the DVD version of TurboTax!!
What's great about it: More user-friendly than 1989 DOS version.
What's not so great: No autosave in the DVD version of TurboTax

Overall I would give an A, just had a small trouble with an item on our state return that I think we eventually resolved!
Turbo Tax is the best!
What's great about it: Helpful software
What's not so great: difficult to remove items from state return

I have used TurboTax for many, many years. I will always return to TurboTax as I feel confident that my return is covered completely, all possible deductions are found, and all of the calculations are correctly done. TurboTax RULES!
What's great about it: I was able to go over and review my return by item, instead of by numbers.
What's not so great: The MA state form did not include Schedule EC (Solar energy credit), so I could not efile.

Turbo Tax makes it SO easy to prepare our taxes!

We've used Turbo Tax for several years and have had no problems with our returns. It's thorough, and the step-by-step instructions are so easy to understand and follow.
What's great about it: Step by Step instructions are easy to follow
What's not so great: Can't think of anything!

It was okay

I am familiar with this tax software and feel it covers the necessary areas. However, after entering some fields and moving forward, I had to backtrack and refill those areas again.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: some glitches, had to repeat some steps over
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Complicated made easy

Have used Turbotax since the 80's. Tried others but just not the same. The easy setup, user-friendly design, and at a touch switching to the forms screen makes my tax prep easy.
What's great about it: ease of use, ability to switch between interview and forms
What's not so great: the advertisement of services
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
