I've used Turbo Tax for the last 5 years. Easy to load onto computer. Ask's lots of questions. makes the community & tax experts available to you 24X7.
What's great about it: imports data from last years return.
What's not so great: took a few tries to get all the updates downloaded, but after that everything went smoothly

Love how easy it is for me to do my own taxes in a very short time. Asks just the right amount of questions to make me feel confident in what I'm doing. Been using Turbo Tax for 5 years now and will continue for many more.
What's great about it: Makes it so easy to do in a day.
What's not so great: Haven't found one

I started using turbo tax since 2013 and the service is excellent!! All the explanation is clear and easy to understand. It is never been so easy to file tax via turbo tax!!
What's great about it: Simple and easy
What's not so great: Fast return!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

QUICK N EASY

THIS PROGRAM COVERED EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN. I WISH IT HAD A BETTER NAVIGATION WINDOW. IT SEEMS LIKE I HAD TO BACK AND FORTH A LOT. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ALL CATEGORIES ON ONE PAGE SO I CAN ACCESS THEM QUICKER
What's great about it: COVERED ANY DEDUCTION I MAY HAVE HAD
What's not so great: A LOT OF WORK TO END UP WITH THE STANDARD DEDUCTION

Saving time and money

I used to employ a professional tax service due to the time it took for me to research tax code changes year over year and to make sure the required forms were being used. While the tax service did give good results, turbo tax matches or exceeds them at much better price point. I also no longer have to set up one or more meetings with them in order to gather and input data. The software itself is simple and intuitive. Like a spell checker, turbo tax catches mistakes and suggests where and how to fix them. Answers to other more specific questions can usualy be found by simply using GOOGLE and entering the phrases "turbo tax" and "whatever your specific issue is". I'll never do taxes any other way.
What's great about it: simple and quick, import data direct from financial institutions

Stymied at the end. Left disappointed.

I've used Turbo Tax for a few years. My personal experience has been that it gets improved and easier to use each year. However, this time I experienced unexpected frustration at the end of the process. Seemed like there was more trivia ("Just one more thing...") to fill out at the end than I remember before. Also, Turbo Tax "network problems" this year added several minutes delay ("Try again later...") to final transmission, causing me to miss the deadline by a few minutes. Intuit should have added more transmission capacity to handle the peak load near the deadline this year. First time I've encountered that.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Handles almost all issues deftly.
What's not so great: Too much trivia at the end. Also, Turbo network problems delayed transmission attempts.
