I have been using Turbo Tax for years now. I sincerely appreciate the fact that your program is so easy to understand and follow. It amazes me how anyone can fit our federal governments rules and regulations into a tax program in the first place. Good job!

Like a sharp-minded, experienced, and warm-hearted sheep dog, TurboTax watches like a hawk and understands the best approach to use. It knows every inch of tax territory, it anticipates intelligently to head off confusion, and it will herd you expertly to reach your Elysian Fields as easily as possible. The questions TurboTax presents are simple and people-friendly, in a large, clean font on uncluttered pages. This sounds like a small thing, but it reduces stress more than you might imagine. TurboTax also reduces stress by being alertly attentive, ready at a moment's notice to prevent trouble or to help out. One click and it will present an organized list of links to take you anywhere you might need to go. You can jump to or from any particular subsection in the "step by step" process or open a particular page of your tax return, retrieve a recommended form or locate an IRS publication. If you need an answer to an unusual question quickly, again, only one click and Turbotax will jump to the forums, where you'll find an effective search engine to sniff through thousands and thousands of questions already asked and answered. If you don't see your answer, just post your question for the experts. Turbotax has a special talent for asking you the perfect questions (like Lassie's, jargon free) at each turning point, to then wisely herd you around the question briar patches and bogs you needn't enter at all. TurboTax will nudge you instead right along your own best and quickest path through the Tax Code Forest. I never imagined, however, that even Turbo-T could bring me through at the end into so much beautiful green! What happens if you feed a dog biscuit to your computer?
What's great about it: Ease of use, Clean design, Thoroughness, & Great Forums For Questions!
What's not so great: Ideally, ALL publications by the IRS would be at my fingertips.

more difficult to use

I have used turbo tax about 10 years it seems now.Maybe longer. Never before have I had such difficulties to use the format.
Before it took you through the lines and there was some place to push that gave information to complete the line or see if it pertained to you.
This to me and mydaughter, that has use this at lest 5 years both found this much more difficult.
No where below does it ask for widowed. To me this isn't really single after 39 years of marriage. It is rather disrepectful.

SPEEDY FAST!!!!!

I PAID SEVERAL HUNDRED TO HAVE MY ACCOUNTANT DO MY TAXES THEN DECIDED TO TRY TURBO TAX AND WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FIND OUT THE TURBO TAX WAS GETTING ME THE SAME EXACT REFUND AMOUNT BACK AS THAT MY TAX ACCOUNTANT WAS GETTING ME BACK.
What's great about it: EASY PROGRAM TO USE!!!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
