Made the complex easy!!

My wife worked part of the year in New Jersey last year, so we knew we would have to file for multiple states. I was preparing for this to be a real hassle, but TurboTax got it sorted out quick and easy! No guesswork over what residency status to choose - it recommended one and helped us sort out which state got what income! Thanks for making a headache much less so!!
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Wasn't terribly specific sometimes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I don't like that you have to scroll down just to click continue on some of the pages. If filing RI is free with the online version then why is it not free with the purchased version? I don't like that this year I started my sons return, then went back a few days later, the software updated and his refund changed without making any changes. It makes me afraid to file early because there could be errors. No longer have faith that your software is ready when it is suppose to be. I am considering trying another program next year even though I have used Turbo tax for many years.
What's great about it: Easy to use

Overall, this is a great program and it helps me keep my paperwork in order because it is ELECTRONIC - very green and very cool.
What's great about it: easy to follow, imported my w2 info, Dad able to help from work
What's not so great: My refund is rediculously small this year

Filing is a Breeze

The question and answer format plus the boxes with more information if you need it allows me to consider all possible deductions and to understand them well enough to select only the ones I am eligible to take. Turbo Tax gives me peace of mind that I haven't accidentally "cheated" on my taxes because I didn't fully understand the tax rules.

Last minute filing no problem with TurboTax

I would be lost without TurboTax. I can remember the days of going to the library to get tax forms. My kids would not know where to start. It is difficult when you still see the older generation that go to the post office or library expecting to get tax forms. People look at them like they are crazy. Computers and tax software have made things easier for the younger generation. Not to mention E-filing at the last minute. Thank you for that.

Fairly easy to use, but not always clear on who qualifies for certain credits. If better explanations were given in advance, then one wouldn't have to waste time entering a lot of data only to be told that one doesn't qualify at the end.
