It's is getting easier every year

I have been using Turbo Tax for almost twenty years (I am getting old) but I guess that really is true about the only two things you can count on in life . . . Every year I am more and more impressed with the ease of use that Turbo Tax provides the end-user. This year was the easiest filing by far. Plus the addition of the checks (checking for additional refunds, audit flags, and miscalculations) was an added bonus. Maybe it was just an afterthought but seeing photos of CPA that had numerous decades of experience gave you an additional sense of certainty & safety. Although I don't know if these people work for Turbo Tax, are using the product or are just people that are willing to have their picture posted in the Turbo Tax product. This wasn't clear but like a bank with a huge vault, security guards, and excessive marble the photos of the CPA's and their years of experience was a great additional touch (for that extra layer of safety). I think that it was the first year that you integrated the profiles of the CPA's into the product itself. It works well even if at a subconscious level. Basically, great product and experience filing taxes. Not that it IS a great experience but that your product just makes it a lot less painful. Thanks.
What's great about it: Simplicity, Reviews for Calculations, Refunds & Audits Flags
What's not so great: Having to pay for State e-file (not Turbo Tax's fault)
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Tax Program!

Let's agree no one likes to file their taxes on their own unless maybe you are a trained and certified tax preparer. TurboTax provides us with this expertise yearly and helps to overcome the increased complexity of our tax laws.
This a great tax preparation program. I think it is the best on the market. I have been using it since the late 1980's. Would appreciate it if TurboTax included the State efiling cost in the price of the Deluxe version. The ease of filing online is much better than the traditional paper file by mail. Most states provide a site of their own to file the state income tax return for free. It would make it so much easier if TurboTax would include the cost of the State efile in your product like you do the Federal.

What's great about it: Very "User Friendly" - Takes the fear and guesswork out of tax preparation
What's not so great: User Guide changes from year to year. Have to reorient to new layout.

Taxes for Dummies

I have been using Turbo tax for the last 10 years! It is really a "taxes for dummies" system. All you have to do is read and answer each question/step of the way and you can finish your taxes. The rating at the end is also great. Knowing if you are low risk also helps me feel rest assured that I have capture the information correctly.

What's great about it: Great easy to follow road map for doing taxes

Thorough and easy

For simple returns, it is very easy to follow, but for an S corporation, Turbo tax got confused and also created Schedule C (which is for a "Sole Proprietership") and is not required for an S corp.
What's great about it: Walk throug all deductions, and credits is easy to follow
What's not so great: Created a Schedule C, whic was not needed

Turbo Tax 2012 Saves the Day

I procrastinated to the last minute on my taxes once again, mostly due to long work hours in 2013, and Turbo Tax 2012 really made it easy for me to file in a matter or an hour or two. I just had to have the documentation and the rest was a snap.
What's great about it: No issues and very simple
What's not so great: None

To easy to be True!

I love this program it is amazing! I would recomend it to everyone I know. I hate the hassle of going to an office and having someone process MY taxes. Hey if it's my money i should at least be able to do it myself. The most important thing is that I do it on my own time without anyone else looking over my shoulder.

Turbo Tax experience through the years

have depended on Turbo Tax to do my claims - did use a tax professional one year due to more complex issues but found that they made errors that I have worked through using Turbo Tax and referring to tax law - could have saved me a lot of headaches down the road - thank you Turbo Tax
What's great about it: have needed information at my finger tips
What's not so great: can't always see all detail until forms reviewed
