Always a breeze

I've been using TurboTax for almost 10 years. Repeat business is the best recommendation. It has never let me down, and I am confident that I get the best tax return I can. We have self-employment income, wages, job expenses, depreciation, IRA income - and it handles it all.
What's great about it: Never wonder which forms apply and which don't
What's not so great: In the older versions, it seemed easier to jump from step-by-step to forms and back
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

There is always fear that all potential savings are not found. I fear having to amend my return to get that money back.
What's great about it: Ease with which filing occurs.
What's not so great: Not talking with a real person for those hidden savings.

Turbo Tax is getting easier to use

Overall, this was my easiest year yet. We did purchase a home last year and I wanted more help on how to locate points on my HUD-1 report. Could not find help enough to be sure I got all my deductions for points. The eFiling was a snap. Resetting my password on my account was terrible. I never have problems like this and the stress at filing time was too much for me.
What's great about it: Much easier this year. Good error check.
What's not so great: Wasn't able to find info on how to extract points from HUD-1 report

Always Reliable

I have used TurboTax now for 17 years. It simplifies my returns. Asks me basic questions, then executes the complicated forumulas to calculate my tax position. I have many friends and clients that pay $300-$600 each year to have their accountant submit their taxes. In the end, they have the same result that I do, but I understand much more how I am being taxed. It helps that I paid a fraction for the software!
TurboTax is proven and reliable. It not only helps me maximize my deductions for my return, but helps me to understand future strategy to minimize my tax exposure.

Making life easier

Turbo tax has made life so much easier. Being in the Accounting field for many years, the rules change frequently. Turbo tax ensures that updates are done to assist the user with all the latest and greatest tools to file their income tax return. The program should be called taxes for dummies as it is so easy to use, even a trained monkey could work as a tax preparer using this program.
What's great about it: Efficiency of doing taxes
What's not so great: jumping between premier to deluxe

this was by far the simplest filing we have done. We used eveyr posisble option and walked through every possible deductinoa nd credit. We had used our "CPA Tax guy" for over 25 years, and they never asked us question like this. we had to ask them and ask if something was deductable etc. I do not know why someone would use anything else.

WOW, not all that scary

I found the program easy, was walked through each step. I did have trouble finding the exact answer I needed, but was able to muddle through. I have never filed my own taxes, but this made it very easy and as enjoyable as doing one's taxes can be.
What's great about it: The program walked me through step by step, it was not as horrible as I thought it would be. I will do it again.
What's not so great: I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to fix an error. Could never find the answer I needed.
