Simple to use

I like the one-stopping shopping for deductions. It's all here with the new rules, guidelines, and limitations. If the numbers don't add up, Turbo tells you right away. If you need to look more closely for ways to save money, Turbo invites you to do so.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax includes so much information that is new to IRS and State. Turbo Tax makes it simple to input information.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

quick and easy

Although I would not recommend waiting until the last day to file a tax return to anyone, I waited until the last minute this year to file my taxes. Within 5 hours I was done. With the e-file option I filed my federal and state taxes by 9:08 pm on April 15th. You must be organized and have all your documentation. If you the type of person who doesn't save receipts I defiantly would not wait until the last minute.

Not as good as it was

Missing the year to year comparisons and tax bracket (percentage). Actually found the percentage accidently, still no tax year comparison except a graph.
What's great about it: much more streamlined and seems faster
What's not so great: Asked me if I qualified for the EIC !?

Got taxed to death

I have had low marks in the past for turbo tax in having to fake the software out in getting to the correct filing results.
And did not have to do that this year.

It was not till I was done that I found the short cut to bypass some of the extra screens to get to where I wanted to be in a form to change a number.....
What's great about it: This was the simplest time I had in years using Turbo tax
What's not so great: I still owed taxes but hopefully less then if not used

Turbo is Tops

This is our fifth year using Turbo Tax. We continue to use it based on its user friendly guidance method and its low cost to use. We can do this by ourselves without giving our personal information to another person or having to go outside our own home. Convenient for me as I work on it after our children are put to bed at night. When I am done with the taxes I can save it and review with my spouse as time allows. It was great, we both looked it over in minutes and agreed we were done. Then it was just press the send button and we were officially done!
What's great about it: It is easy to follow and does the math on its own.
What's not so great: It did not offer me Ice cream when I was done - good thing I ate some earlier!

as old as I am, when I file mytaxes I feel as if I am a child in the mean teacher"s classroom. Turbo Tax removes the harshness experience of filing taxes
