Not clear how to enter some information on step by step. Also I wanted to apply my refund to next years taxes, no clear way to do it. I finally went to 140 form and typed in the amount to the correct box. Then turbo tax kept wanting to print out estimated tax payment forms. I do not need to pay estimated tax for 2013.
What's great about it: step by step avery good
What's not so great: sometime step by step leads astray

I was surprised when the state return was not included this year and I had to pay extra. Then I had a problem downloading the state return after paying for it. I got excellent help on the telephone from Jordan. He was patient and knowledgeable. I rate his help 10+.
What's great about it: Great help on getting missing download

Will not display address that the return is to mailed to. I may want to file this return even though no taxes or refund are due. This would be for record purposes and to show that I did file a return. Please furnish a mailing address. THX

I have used Turbo Tax for over 5 years

I love Turbo Tax and don't understand why smart people still pay someone to do their taxes. In the years I have been using Turbo Tax I have gotten large refunds and never an audit or problem. Everyone should try it. It is easier than people think
What's great about it: I can do it at my own time
What's not so great: it was way harder this year and I had alot more questions

Great Basic Tax Program

I love TurboTax and have used it for years! Will continue to do so. Only problem this year was putting in Market Discount Interest on a bond. I had to know to put it in; wasn't reported on the 1099-Int, and TT didn't ask questions about it.
What's great about it: Easy to use either step-by-step or manually
What's not so great: Have to manually input some of the more technical tax items.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Time Saver

Using TurboTax relives me of the burden of reading through all those tax publications and trying to make sense of the information. As an independent contractor, it also saves me the time and expense associated with bundling all my paperwork for someone else to read over and hope that I haven't missed anything.

2013 Turbo

I had no trouble this year with questions regarding the Required Minimum Distribution. I think overall, the program was improved and thank God for that because it took three 1040X returns before I got the error squared away with the IRS.
What's great about it: Language was easier to understand, unlike 2011 which caused me great consternation
What's not so great: should include state e-filing fee
