Sooo Sooo Easy

I'm an idiot when it comes to taxes. My 3 year old could have filed using turbotax. I've recommended Turbotax to friends in the past and they are very thankful to me. I'm a star!!

It was very easy to use and helpful. I have used Turbo Tax for 4 years it has always given me a larger refund than the years I used other tax prep locations like H and R Block. It is very fast and I love that in 20 min I am done and ready to help my kids with homework or just play with them.
What's great about it: explained everything
What's not so great: fees for state refund

This is extremely easy to use and I always feel like I've done the best I can for my tax filing purposes.
What's great about it: Very easy to use. Help files are easy if you get stuck.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

Overall Turbo Tax is okay for simple returns. But I'll likely add a tax professional as I increase my asset base. I might still use turbo tax then to estimate things but for the more complex calculations I check with a professional. I'm way over withheld this year because online calculators over estimated what I'd owe.
What's great about it: easy, fast, step by step and you can move around easily and enter things as you receive them
What's not so great: My Arizona return has had an error every single year I've used Turbo Tax 9 or Tax Cut 1
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

turbo tax the best

tax makers say that you can not deduct non cash donations if you do not own a home.
well, i have been doing that for 7 years and i don't own a house.
you should try to deduct as many expenses as the green number ( refund ) keeps going up or the red number (due)
keeps going down.
make 5 free electronic federal tax return for just $50.
prices will vary at stores.
that's less then the price tax makers charge for making tax return for 1 person only !

Problems

1. I have used TurboTax for years.
2. This year, for the first time I could not find out how to use part of my refund as a credit for the next tax year, even though I have been doing it for years. This is probably still possible but I could not figure it out.
3. It repeatedly asked for information about the Payer (Fed. ID number, state, zip).
4. Issues just aggravated me and I ended up not being able to use my refund as I wished and had done in past.
