Exceptional Program

Overall, outstanding software. I've been with Intuit Turbo Tax since it became available.
What's great about it: Systematically takes you through the process and waits while you get your data together!
What's not so great: Some questions still leave a different alternative response not included in the program
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

3rd car unhappy

Very unhappy with the system that doesn't tell you that you can't e-file if you need to submit a third business vehicle form 2106 until the very end of the process.
What's great about it: downloads from investment firms
What's not so great: unable to e-file if 3rd vehicle needs to be reported

Got a REFUND!

TurboTax works well for me. I dislike doing my taxes,this makes it tolerable. I feel like the process is easy to follow and accurate. I like the audit risk tool.
What's great about it: Easy to complete
What's not so great: On a few areas would have liked more explanations

Usual No Refund

IRA was different for this year. All was going as usual very well and this was a road block. I could not put on may usual amount and I am not sure why.
What's great about it: Bringing together both last year and this year
What's not so great: IRA contribution required to much checking back and forth.

Almost makes 'Tax Day' a good day

I would not think of using any program other than TurboTax. I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I have looked at others, and Turbo Tax is intuitive, comprehensive, and gives you as much confidence as one can have when trying to figure out the ins and outs of the current tax law.
What's great about it: Very clear instructions, easy to go back and correct, helps you understand the laws.
What's not so great: Dislike paying an electronic fee for state taxes

1099C handling

Suggesting users seek a qualified tax professional to determine if a 1099c is taxible or not is not good. You didn't bother to exposed the worksheets. It requires the user to locate the form and fill in the reason why 1099c is not taxible. At the very least you should have walked the user through filling out the worksheets..
What's great about it: overall use is easy
What's not so great: Dropped the ball on the handling of the 1099c

Turbo Tax Made It Easy

I've used Turbo Tax for 5 years and it really helps that it carries over the information from the previous year and makes a comparison. Walking me through the deductions so that I can get the most possible. Convenient, I was able to do my taxes in the time it would have taken me to drive to a tax service and back.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step instructions
What's not so great: Not being able to see the work sheets as I progressed

Turbo Tax is a great guided, step by step, way to do your taxes. The software is very thorough, making sure every potential situation is covered to maximize your deductions and tax return. Improvements could be made with better definitions for some of the financial terminology used. In summary is hard to go wrong with Turbo Tax guiding you through the tax filing process.
What's great about it: Leaves no stone unturned
What's not so great: Community Forum not as helpful as expected
