need more remarks addressing use of the drop-downs for easier app navigation, need directions to easily understand for the e-bay powered charitable donation evaluation tool.
What's great about it: many user-friendly prompts and explanations, Import data feature
What's not so great: tricky printing, tricky charitable donation evaluation tool

DELUXE AND BUSINESS SOFTWARES

THE MORE YOU USE THIS PROGRAMS THE MORE CONFIDENT YOU GET. SOMETIMES THE ACCOUNTING LANGUAGE GETS IN THE WAY.
WISH I CONTACT AMERICAN ENGLISH SPEAKERS, HARD TO UNDERSTAND THE INDIAN ACCENT.
CAN YOU ADD THE FORM NUMBER TO THE TITLE LIKE "CALIFORNIA LLC 568?
USING THE NUMBERS ENTERED WHY CAN THE PROGRAM FIGURE OUT WHAT NUMBERS TO ENTER IN CERTAIN FIELDS OF THE WORKSHEET WITHOUT HAVING TO CAUSE STRESS BY ASKING ME TO ENTER A CERTAIN ANSWER, THIS YEAR THAT HAPPENED TWICE, NOT IN PREVIOUS YEARS.

What's great about it: NOT BEING A MATH EXPERT, TURBO DOES IT FOR YOU ACCURATELY
What's not so great: IN TWO INSTANCES IN BOTH DELUXE AND BUSINESS I WAS ASKED TO FILL IN NUMBERS IN THE WORK SHEETS 2012 SOMETHING I DID NOT
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

CPU Hog !

TurboTax knows they are too slow - they put this silly little comment on the startup splash page that says "We know this is taking longer than normal". Its been there for 5+ years but they haven't done anything about it.
Only program I have seen that takes over 30 minutes to update it self.
What's not so great: Runs too slow - hogs the CPU to the point you can't have anything else running. (like a spread sheet or Quicken)

Suspected Programming Issue for Your Attention

Dear Reviewer, I suspect your software may have a glitch, which i am bringing to your attention for possible corrective action.
The software incorrectly treated information from a Federal pension (CSF Form 1099R as taxible income on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' tax forms. All of the information, except for the current inform #Blocks 1, 2A and 4# were transferred from my 2011 Turbo Tax returns. Just as a test to see if I could correct the problem, I deleted the entire CSF Form 1099R information and re-entered it manually. That action corrected the problem. More specifically, the manually entered information was treated by the software as non-taxible income on the state returns whereas, the automatically transferred information was treated incorrectly as taxible..
Accordingly, I suspect you have a software glitch with the transfer of data from the 2011 software to the 2012 or the transfer from the Federal returns to the state.
What's great about it: I've been using your software for years and am a very satisfied customer.

I was unable to e-file Ferderal Return because the return was greater than 20 pages. When I finally printed the return it was only 10 pages. Printing it was a challenge. the instructions did not mirror what was on my screen. I eventually figured out how to print the forms. I never had a problem with the e-file feature and printing in previous years. Something happened to the program between 2011 & 2012.
What's great about it: Easy to enter information
What's not so great: Very difficult e-fileing and printing

Trust

There were lots of problems for customers requesting returns by e-file, so I do not trust doing so when dealing with Turbo Tax, there appear to be quite a few hidden things within the program. You need to establish better trust for me or others to better trust the system. Other than the trust issue, I've enjoyed using the program over several years. Plus, I do not like giving the Government anymore access to my finances than they already posses.
What's great about it: I like much about the program
What's not so great: The fact that last year there was lots of issues with your clients experiencing problems when requesting there returns.
