BEST REFUND OF MY LIFETIME!

Overall this was the best experience I've ever had with my tax refund. Over the past couple years I have owed money and last year it was so minimal it was barely even worth it. This year even with my oh-so-confusing work for last year this system made it very simple to enter in all my deductions and expenses as well as all of my income and gave me the BIGGEST tax refund I have ever seen. Thanks TurboTax! You made relieved my fears of doing my taxes myself!
What's great about it: WAY more money
What's not so great: Very confusing entering deductions and self-employment income
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax should be a national Standard

This program beats all the rest. I started with another program (came to me free!) won't say name but initials are H&R. Switched to Turbo Tax to finish my return after getting confused too many times with the other program. Turbo Tax was well worth the price I paid!
Turbo Tax is painstakingly thorough. Catches ALL errors. Easy to use to gain a complete understanding of each subject along the way (to make the correct entries). Its prompts helped me make appropriate decisions about deduct-ability of my shoebox items collected during the year. (My Schedule A deductions were more than the Standard deduction this year!).
e-File is strict. Will not file with ANY errors remaining. (A K-1 sent to me by Gen. Partner was in error...I had to correct that with the Gen. Partner before I could e-File)! Turbo Tax is very careful and complete.
I think the Government should trust Turbo Tax e-Filed returns over agents and audits. It gets the job done right the first time! Governments should help Turbo Tax provide free Federal AND State e-Files. The IRS would significantly save on processing costs and receive more accurate returns.
What's great about it: Very thorough, yet easy to use. Misses nothing.
What's not so great: Should let us know that you can't e-File with any errors left.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Long term Turbo Tax User

I have used Turbo Tax for years without any issues. I did get a notice from our dear friends at the IRS that my 2011 filing had errors. Don't know the details yet as I will address that tomorrow. However, my instinct that trusting Turbo Tax will help you to put everything in its right place is now shaken. Pending of course me finding what went wrong. The IRS denied the education credits which should hae been clear cut.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use
What's not so great: Business expenses area a little confusing

Problems

1. Couldn't access the area where I paid my state taxes by debit to ensure that that had actually happened. Couldn't access areas in State taxes.
2. If I print forms, Turbo Tax does not recognize that it has already happened and won't proceed unless I reprint.
3. Cant easily exit form preview screen. No back button or close out.
4. You have cut down considerably on trying to sell items (It's deductable, charging for Federal e-file) Stop charging to e-file state.
5.Turbo tax wants to continually check for updates, every time it opens. Have it remember if it checked for updates with in the last seven days. It would want to check even if I opened the program three times in the same day.
6. Quit asking me if I want on the email list every time program opens. Give the program a memory. I decline because I don't want to receive updates or information from Turbo Tax numerous times a year.
