Seriously Simple!

Turbo Tax is so easy to use I don't know why people use a service. I got my taxes done in just a few hours, and got a huge refund!

Great First Time

When I began to use Turbo the introductions were quiet easy to follow and the help tabs made it simple to find the information I needed to input. But I found it really repetitive when i was filing my families taxes and had to find my mistakes, but with this software I able to go through the filing processes smoothly. I feel confident about filing my taxes with Turbo Taxes next year.
What's great about it: Easy to Use

So -So Tax returns

The tax software itself is easy to use. This year it seemed that there were fewer 'other forms' than previous year. Luckily I did not need them, but if i had would i have had to go buy another copy of Turbo Tax?
Nothing set up for if i filed my taxes on a different machine in previous years, app needs admin rights to access across accounts on same machine or to even make updates. This could be an issue if user does not have/know admin password, but forms still need updating. Should load at the account level. Not the root.
I really dislike that i get all the through then are told how much it will cost to file electronically. These charges should be UP FRONT. Since so few places carry forms anymore, Intuit may feel they have the consumers over a barrel. I doubt tha will last long.
What's great about it: easy, walk-though or DIY, tax laws briefly explained so you know if you need or not
What's not so great: Nickle and dime you to death, difficult to use anything but a credit card to pay.

only one thing ... earned income credit confusion

was informed I wasn't eligible for earned income credit in one spot but return marked that as an area to re-review, said earned income does not include dividends, social security, nor pensions but on re-review was again informed I wasn't eligible due to the above items. a catch-22 so I may have incorrectly been denied earned income credit this year.
What's great about it: love the q&a method to determine taxes owed
What's not so great: earned income credit confusion
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've been using TurboTax for years to do me and my families tax returns. I can't think of anything bad to say....
Wait... it does have one issue - when I'm at work, it does not work well with Internet proxies.
But I LOVE IT!
What's great about it: Always easy, fast, and accurate!
What's not so great: Can't think of any...

Finally Done!

Another year done with TT. Some of the donations didn't appear to actually affect my return, it seemed odd b/c they weren't small donations. Some of the help could've been more informative - aka less cryptic, but I suppose that's why we can upgrade!
What's great about it: Easier than filling out the forms manually
What's not so great: Not truly confident it found everything for me
