Less than satisfied

Federal portion of program worked great for me. State tax part was nothing but trouble. Ended up in an endless loop on the state part. Called support and was put on hold for a very long time. Program wouldn't proceed till I payed an extra fee for the state portion ( was suppose to be included in the package I bought.)
I don't think I'll be using this program again next year.
What's great about it: Federal part worked great
What's not so great: Had lots of problems with state portion

easy process

At the end, it kept asking me for w2 information. As a retiree, I do not have a w2 & there were no options on the screen to resolve problem. I tried numerous time to as the community how to handle - did not get helpful info.. I then tried calling an expert & that was the worst experiece I had. 1st I was on hold for appx. 45 minutes, when I finally spke to someone I was told they could help me & I was put on hold again for another 25 minutes & I gave up. Fortunately after 5 days I tried the community again & optained proper info & I was finally able to file returns
What's great about it: over all good program
What's not so great: took a long time to identify problem re e-file

THERE IS NO WAY TO ENTER INFORMATION ON THIRD PARTY DESIGNEE. THIS WOULD REALLY HELP ME BECAUSE I HELP OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS, PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS FOR 2013 AND THE FUTURE

found turbotax confusing this year. was not as easy as last year. didn't like that i had to close down program and go back in inorder to do state return. had to call help line to find this out. it didn't tell me to do that when doing the return.
What's great about it: asked the right questions
What's not so great: having to close down & reopen inorder to do state.payed for state return twice

First Experience

This is my first experience using TurboTax software and for the most part it was easy. When I needed help I used the live chat and several of my questions were answered. I was very greatful for multiple ways to contact TT.
What's great about it: Most areas self explanatory
What's not so great: Maybe a few cons
