Almost brainless!

I have used Turbo Tax for 5 years, and have recommended it to others. I appreciate the rating it gives you as far as the chances of an audit. The program also leads you to take deductions you did not even consider. I never thought I could do my own taxes, but with Turbo Tax it was painless!
What's great about it: So easy anyone can do it!
What's not so great: None that I can think of.

I am a TERRIBLE procrastinator, even when I'm fairly sure to get a refund. Turbo Tax makes things so simple that even doing my returns at the last minute isn't stressful! thanks!

Always the right way to handle your taxes!

A few years back, I tried a competing tax program, just to see what it was like. I think I lost money using it, so I jumped at the chance to get back to Turbo Tax from then on. Glad I "came back home"!
What's great about it: Always easy for even a rookie to understand.

what happened to the tax rates this year?

I have used turbotax for the past 15 years and it has made my life so much easier. However this year the federal rates must have changed or whatever because all of a sudden the refund which I hve unfailingly received for my entire adult working life has dwindled to almost nothing. I claim zero on my W2 and nothing has changed so the only thing I can think of is the IRS just decided to take more. Anyway I know this is not TurboTax's fault but I wish it explained the tax rules a bit more so that we can understand the changes better. As it is it is so simple to use that you can file your returns without really understanding; I just wish there was something to click that would explain the higher tax rates that everyone seems to be paying this year. Thank you.

This is at least my fourth year of using Turbo Tax and it seems to get easier each year. I feel confident in the program and trust that all is being completed as it should. I have found the "explain this" and "what's this" links to be very beneficial and use them as needed. Last year I had to call someone and they spent all the time needed to completely help resolve the issue I was having with investment income. I appreciate all that must go into creating and maintaining this software especially as tax code becomes more complex over time. I also appreciate that when used on the same computer, all files transfer to the new year. If there is a way to transfer files when the same computer is not used, however, I would like to know:) I use Turbo Tax exclusively and am thankful for it. Thank you for all you do and I like the new picture graphics of tax experts as it makes it more personal :)
What's great about it: User friendly, easy to navigate, "explain this" links are very helpful
What's not so great: None, in my mind
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Easy as Pie

I found this tax preparation software to be fairly easy. It was time consuming to find all paperwork needed, but this should be corrected with better record keeping all year. I was able to complete this work in about 6 hours over two days and I was very pleased.
What's great about it: Easy to do, they walk you right through it.
What's not so great: error correction has to be thought thru
