made process doable

very helpful product that makes calculating ones taxes doable
What's great about it: walks you through the process step by step with lots of helpful explanations
What's not so great: not easy to manuver between sections
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Have always used Turbo Tax, this year was very confusing was not able to complete return, kept kicking me back
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good overall program, clear tutorials, and efficient questions to boil down to necessary information. Only drawback is the cost to e-file state returns, especially if you live near the border and have to file two or more state returns. My recommendation in this situation is to e-file the federal return and print out the state returns to be submitted via the US Postal Service.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and efficient guidance from tutorials
What's not so great: Expensive to e-file for states - better to print out and mail state returns

No CPA This Time

Overall, I was very pleased with Turbo Tax Deluxe 2013 edition. The directions were clear and concise and laid out step-by-step. I think the only issue was my own apprehension of filing taxes myself instead of our CPA. We have used a CPA to file our complicated taxes for the last 13 years. As we have gotten older and our money going into fewer buckets, our returns have become more straight forward. The one question that I did have was thoroughly answered by an online Intuit customer service representative. I definitely will be flying solo again next year.....no more CPA for me!!! (well, us)
What's great about it: Ease of use of application and very courteous staff
What's not so great: very, very long wait time to talk to tax professional
