1st timer with electric filing

Overall, I will use turbo tax next year as long as the effectivness stays the same.
What's great about it: Easy to follow directions
What's not so great: i needed more information than i thought
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

No begging to get an Appointment

My father was a CPA Tax Accountant before he died. We grew up believing the only right way to have your taxes done was sitting in front of your accountant and his adding machine. I LOVE LOVE LOVEgetting the same level of expertise Faster, Better, and Cheaper. Turbo tax is designed for all levels of taxpayer knowledge... the option for 'guide me' or 'no thanks I can do it' is fantastic. Error checking is great too...helps me have a good night sleep after transmitting. And, if I really needed to check in with an accountant....They Have That Too!!! Very Cool
What's great about it: Up-to-date, reliable and consistently excellent guidance
What's not so great: Program could use a few short, quick help statements

I've used turbo tax for many years, and find it very easy to use and intuitive.

I'm self employed and I've been using TurboTax for years. It's perfect for anyone. Simply answer the questions and the forms are prepared for you.

Overall, I like TurboTax. I have had accountants review my returns and the numbers came up the same.
What's great about it: Walks you through it
What's not so great: If you click on certain things, but don't enter info, Turbotax keeps going back to those items for more info.

I trust the software and like the guide questions, would like to be able to see more details during the process. I found everything I needed at the end when you can review the filled forms, but it would be nice to have access to forms during entry - Ex: Here is what they look so far. I love the 2 year comparison - it helps remind you of what you forgot to enter or what you mis-entered. Compared to last year it looked more automated, like I had less control and options. But we'll be back in 2014
What's great about it: Liked the thoroughness that the guided tour gives. It is designed to soothe the worries.
What's not so great: I made a data entry error that should have been flagged right away as compared to last year amounts and it did not

this is an excellent software that lead you to step by step to maximize your returns , very friendly to use
What's great about it: very fast
What's not so great: need more explanations
