LOVED My Refund

Turbo Tax has always been my favorite program because it's easy to do, it takes you step by step, and if you have any questions there someone professional to answer all of your questions without judging you.
What's great about it: Questions where direct
What's not so great: Was unsure how to do the charity
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The Turbo Tax for CT Tax is difficult to follow and also the information blocks still are too small to enter the necessary information.
The CT Tax software needs to be improved to become more user friendly.

Missed important details

Once again, TurboTax disappoints when it comes to dealing with shared custody of a child. It filed my federal return electronically and never noticed that I had a form 8332 that has to be mailed in. Last year it at least told me to mail it in, this year, NOTHING. If I didn't pay attention the IRS would probably come after me for not filing the correct forms.
What's great about it: easy, accurate calcualations
What's not so great: No paperwork for shared custody of a child

The federal return was easy and intuitive. Very quick and easy transfer to state return. The federal return had a ton of nice explinations or links to more information. The state return could use the same. For instance, I had questions regarding the state grocery credit for a child born during the year that I had to look up on the internet and call my state government for confirmation.
What's great about it: Very easy
What's not so great: Needs more detailed explinations on state program

2012 Taxes

All in all as usual Turbo Tax made the process simple and easy. I will keep using this in the future.
What's great about it: Ease of process, simplicity of questions asked.
What's not so great: Had a hard time finding credit for new air conditioning system, actually took looking at my state forms before I figured
