Great Software

I have used turbo-tax since 2004 and it has improved over the years. It is very easy to follow and covers all tax changes for the year to ensure you have not missed any deductions. I will continue to use turbo tax moving forward.
What's great about it: Updates when you start and again at the end. Very easy to follow.
What's not so great: Some of the explain information is not detailed.

2012 TurboTax is easy to use and very intuitive. Covered all aspects of my return and the last year transfer of data made it even easier.

Why pay a tax specialist when you have Turbotax?

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and have never been disappointed. The first year my husband still had ours done professionally and there was no difference so he was sold and have never gone back.
What's great about it: Quick Easy and Safe

This Year's game changer

Prev years incl 1 free state filing - now paying for filing on top of purchasing deluxe version (not basic) makes turbo tax significantly less appealing. Plenty of lower cost federal prep and free federal filing options out there - so the main differentiator was that it came with free state filing. I've used for years - will definitely consider other products next year which I haven't had a motivation to do until now.
What's not so great: Paying for State Filing Fee when buying deluxe

Great for Basic needs

Ive been using Turbo Tax since 1996.
This year was the first time it wasnt a breeze. But I did close a business and have to establish carryover loses for years to come and add my cost basis to my K-1 manually. It was not intuitive in the interview.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Hard to find answers to uncommon questions

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and plan on keep using it. It helps me make sure I get my maximum refund every year!
