Quick and Easy

I've used Turbo Tax for years and years and have always been satisfied with the ease of doing my returns.
What's great about it: Straight forward and easy to understand

I've used this product for 7 teas in a row and will continure to use it unless the price goes up much more.
What's great about it: Easy, convienient.

Okay but not as easy to use as it could be

The program covers all the basic forms, but the interface is annoying. One often needs to go through a lot of screens to get to the ones one wants because entries for one thing like a capital gains transaction are spread over several screens.
Even though I'm getting a refund, it wants to print out Estimated tax forms for next year to cover 110% of my 2012 taxes and it is difficult to find where to turn that off. (Doesn't seem to be any place in the step-by-step, you have to go to the Est Tax Options.)
TurboTax doesn't automate some things that it easily could. For example, I have a state income tax refund and paid AMT last year. Whether this is income depends on whether the state income taxes reduced my Federal taxes last year. TurboTax says "this will take a long time and require a lot of calculations, but it might save you money".
That's not true. It is actually quite easy if you anticipate the need when you are doing the prior years taxes. The program could easily do it itself then and save the information for next year. After completing and saving your taxes, Forms Schedule A - Itemized Deductions and reduce the amount on line 5 by the State Income tax refund amount. Record the amount of Income tax and AMT due. (I just save to another file and print the 1040.) That provides the two numbers that you will need.
What's great about it: Covers the basic forms well
What's not so great: Too many screens to do simple things, doesn't automate everything it could

I've been using for years, am a former tax preparer, and the software is an excellent vehicle for preparing returns and filing in a timely manner.
What's great about it: Quick, professional,concise,accurate
What's not so great: tough to download and runs a little slow

My Mother has used Turbo Tax for her business and her home. As the oldest, I have also been using Turbo Tax and I have taught my children how to use Turbo Tax. I now have two beautiful granddaughters and when it is time for them to pay taxes, they will know what software to use. We now have 3 generations using Turbo Tax because of its ease and accuracy. I wouldn't use any other software.
What's great about it: It is easy so no mattter the age, you can use it and be assured it is accurate.

Good tax prgram

I think the price you pay for the package should include one federal and state e-file, instead you pay extra for the state efile.
What's great about it: user friendly, pretty straigh forward
What's not so great: have to pay extra to file the state
