SOOOO Easy

My wife did our taxes for the first time in her life and she stated " I don't know why everybody does not use Turbo Tax, I don't see what the big deal is", it took me less than 3 hours and this was my first time. She does maintain awesome records which contributed to the ease, and success. You can't put enough emphasis on good record keeping all year.

In some cases the help instructions were in language that I did not understand but clearly would be easy for a tax preparer to use. I had to enter more than 15 withdrawls from a money market and a table format would have been much easier, not the "one at at time" format that I tediously had to enter. Also, I was denied one deduction without explanation - it simply said that I did not qualify.
Overall, Turbotax is easy to use and does go over all deductions and tax items. The extra questions that it asks are good because it makes you look at things that you might not otherwise. This takes a little time but does save you money.
What's great about it: In general this is a very straightforward, easy to use tax program. The entries are easy and the flow is excellent.
What's not so great: Parts of Turbotax are difficult to understand - they are in "taxese." Some entries were tedious.

I like Turbotax. It is fast and efficient, and takes all the stress out of taxes. I did mine in about 15 minutes IF that. Truly the tyrant of taxes!
What's great about it: ULTRA Fast and simple.
What's not so great: None.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It will also give the flexibility to work in a manner which provides the best possible return by allowing you to stop and come back at any segment of the return. Also to make changes which can improve you refund or reduce your payment. In summary the program is easy to work with and you can trust the final product.

Make a Daunting Task Easier and Less Dreadful!

Turbo Tax makes doing your dreaded taxes alot easier! It walks you through everything, explains terms and gives you examples. The hardest part of it all is collecting all the necessary paperwork (ie W-2s, statements, receipts...)!! You feel confident when your done knowing that you don't need to be CPA to do your taxes!
What's great about it: I found this software easy to use and easy to understand. Good explanations of tax terms, what's common and uncommon.
What's not so great: I wish it was a little cheaper. Or once you have the software, you could pay a nominal fee for the updates each year.
