Good but should handle out-of-state K-1 income

Turbo Tax ignores your address information for its K-1 data instead of using this information to determine the correct amounts to pass on to the equivalent California state return. Possibly, different states treat this data in different ways but it doesn't seem unreasonable to expect, in most cases, for the earned data from a K-1 form to be passed on as a $0 amount, so users can avoid double taxation.
I was double taxed for a number of years before I learned to go to the California K-1 earnings column and enter $0 for the California income from this enterprise.

over all it's a good program. I was told that turbo tax is missing a deduction we can benefit from (that is not offered in tt) Not sure, if it's true or not?
if you contact me I will find out specifically what it was. (my niece did it with tt, then her mom's friend told her she could find more of a refund) they went to her, she did get more $$
I did not do it because I paid for the program, however, I had my efile rejected, I resubmitted hopefully it will be ok

2012 Was A Great Year!

This was about as easy as it could possibly be to file a federal return and two state returns. Without much tax knowledge I was able to successfully, and most importantly, ACCURATELY, file my taxes in a timely fashion. Better yet, I'm getting a refund which will be direct deposited right to my checking account. Yay! A trip to the bank avoided again. Thank you for such a great program. I will recommend it to everyone! See you next year!

Quick and Easy

Turbo tax makes it very simple. I did my taxes on April 15th and was able to do them last minute with ease. I will use Turbo tax next year.
What's great about it: Easy Step by Step Directions

Step by step is best

I really appreciate the step by step nature of Turbo Tax. It helps that you can be told exactly what paperwork you will need for the next step. It keeps the process from being too overwhelming. If I can do my taxes, anyone can.
What's great about it: Explaining exactly what paperwork I need to complete next step.
What's not so great: The State process seemed just a bit vague.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
