Take the Govenrments hand out of your pocket!

I am all for paying my fair share, but lately, the Government has been over bearing on putting their hands in my pocket. Most people do not realize just how much they pay in taxes throughout an entire year. I recommend tracking what you spend for all the taxes that all governments combined steal from you at gunpoint. Yes, its true...try not paying!!!
Ok, enough about my rant. I have used TurboTax for many many years. It has been a great tool for me to easily complete my taxes and efile all my returns. Some years up to three or four states! This year Intuit did a much better job with the flow of the deduction screens. I did find some questions were confusing on just what was being asked, but figured it out by going to the excellent help screen.
I look forward to using more Intuit products! With Americans financial well being getting more difficult to keep through Government red tape and pick pocketing, keeping an eye on your finances will be key to paying what your fair share should be. Besides, keeping as much of my earned money is all part of my plan to take over the world.
What's great about it: Ease of use, Detailed deductions
What's not so great: Some questions are confusing

Great first try

I would totally recommend this product. Because of this product I plan to review my previous returns to find out if I made any costly errors. I believe I cheated myself out of deductions.
What's great about it: It was very easy to use. This was my first time trying out the software
What's not so great: Some of the explanations under the help links could be a little more detailed for those of us that aren't tax saavy.

I've been using TurboTax for years now for all my state and federal returns. I've never had an issue with it and feel confident and safe when I've used it.
What's great about it: Easy, easy, easy
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Taxes with a No-Brainer Tutor!

I use the DELUXE Version of Turbo tax. My needs are basic 1040 forms, Schedule A for my mortgage and charitable deductions (including mileage), and this year - my son's college tuition, and a farm house inherited 20 yrs ago and sold last year at a loss (between the 5 of us survivors#. As with past years, Turbo Tax literally hand-walked me through every step and every entry I needed. Nearly every page has links to quick check for things you may not be sure of, or explanations of things that you may not readily know if they apply to you or not. Turbo even automatically computed 3 different ways I could enter my son's tuition - and told me which one would give me the best return #without my even asking it to do so!#. You DO NOT need to be a tax pro to use this easy to understand software. The only things this program won't do for me is pull all the numbers in automatically from my paper forms, and hand deliver my return to me! Also, if you are donating things such as households, clothing, and other "rummage sale" type items to charitable groups - YOU NEED TO USE THIS SOFTWARE!!!! The "IT'S DEDUCTABLE" portion gives me IRS accepted values for items that here in the Midwest are FAR above what I would have guessed #i.e., men's T-shirt in average condition: my rummage sale price - $0.50 - $1.00 / ITS DEDUCTABLE value - somewhere around $3.00!#. That feature alone way offsets the $50 or so I pay for this program every year!
What's great about it: As long as you can read the numbers on your tax forms, and use a keyboard, Turbo Tax will do all the work for you!
What's not so great: It will not hand deliver my return to me, nor make toast in the morning.

Turbo Tax Rocks!

Turbo Tax makes it almost fun to file my tax returns! Yes, it's that good!
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate with helpful hints that guided me to my maximum refund!
What's not so great: There are no cons in my opinion.
