multi-generational ease

overall easy to use, guided my 82 y/o mother using easy guide and I could go directly thru the forms, multi-generational ease and use.
What's great about it: easy to use

Takes the stress out of filing

Every year I wait until the very end of tax season to work on my taxes because it stresses me out just thinking about all the numbers and where I might make a mistake by putting something in the wrong spot or adding something up incorrectly. I've been using TurboTax for 4 years now and every year when I'm finished I think, "why did I wait." TurboTax is so easy and walks me through everything so it's nearly impossible to make a mistake. It is the easiest software I've ever used!
What's great about it: So easy, quick and stress-free
What's not so great: Can't think of anything

Revisit Filing Status

Needs to revisit filing status at end of return and show a comparison of why it is better to file how you recommend. This program decides this at the first glance and does not have the capability that I am aware of to review this. Also a better explanation of some industry and IRS terms would be helpful to those filing taxes for the first time.
What's great about it: Fairly user friendly
What's not so great: Needs to revisit filing status and define terms

Easy as making pancakes!

I found Turbo tax so much easier than trying to look up all the instructions, the right forms, the tax tables, etc. Turbotax did it all for me.
What's great about it: Was able to use my parent's copy so it was no-charge.
What's not so great: Didn't want to pay to e-file.

Once you have been through, using Step by Step is very tediuous since you have to repeat everything to get to where you want to change something. Using the forms view is impossible to figure which for the change needs to be made on.
Finally TT found an error which I could never figure out what the hdsep (or some such code) was. Finally just filed with error.
Also TT requires certain forms (which in my case were not needed) but figuring out what triggered the form was impossible.
Also if you forget your password (which is easy since it is ONCE A YEAR you use it, and the security question answer you get locked out!
What's great about it: Step by Step for initial entry
What's not so great: Step by Step to correct

Turbo Tax App Review

nice guidance through the questions; nice electronic transfer
What's great about it: Import of data from prior years to reduce data entry time; import of electronic W2; comparision of last years tax return
What's not so great: little pricey. Total time using product was 45 minutes.

Life Made Easy!

For years I have paid large amounts of money to have others do my taxes for the same amount of refund that I get with Turbo Tax. I can do my taxes on my own time. If a document is required, I just have to run to my file cabinet to retrieve it. It takes the stress out of taxes.
What's great about it: I can do my taxes on my schedule, not on someone else's.
What's not so great: I sometimes second guess myself but Turbo tax review helps ease my mind I am doing my taxes correctly.
