easy to use

It's a great product. I've been using it since 1992.
What's great about it: detailed and organized

Nothing like the last minute!

Last year It was easier to chat online with questions and get them answered this year I did not find the intuit system very helpful. :(
What's great about it: love how easy it is to follow
What's not so great: intuit showing similar questions and not a chat box to answer the question directly

1098-T confusion!

I knew what the results should be, just had a hard time getting there with the language that popped up on the step by step screens. As an accountant, I would say that this section, in particular, could use some TLC by Turbo tax. There are various scenarios which put twists on taxable vs non taxable and credit status (As you know). I think some extra questions depending on the age of the student might be beneficial (mine had to do with a student who is in high school receiving dual credit). Also, some explanations for state impacts would go a long way. The forums were not helpful and crashed 4/14/13. Parents of students entering or in college are stressed by the loans/scholarships/etc - I think a few extra questions and scenarios could make this a little easier on the vast majority of your users. Overall - I love the software and really like how I can bounce around and not be locked into the questions/answer format.
What's great about it: I have used Turbo Tax for Years (I'm a CPA but don't prepare taxes for public)
What's not so great: Student income/deductions - explanations need help!

This year was easier than last.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years as it certainly has improved overall. I would recommend it especially for young families starting out. Check in with a tax consultant/professional every few years to see if you are getting all the tax deductions you deserve.
What's great about it: Overall, it was easy to navigate through the steps.
What's not so great: Seems no matter what, you aren't totally sure everything was done to the satisfaction of the IRS
